Watercolor painting of the sky? Today morning had a very watercolor feel to the sky. The night was coolish by our standards and the day is pleasant. It will still be close to 40 degrees by mid day. Apparently there is a lot of rain along the coastline 100 km away, but we may not get any of it.

@a2j

Hopefully, this will be the last evening view out of the hospital room. My mom is gearing up for a discharge after some physiotherapy tomorrow and is looking forward to being at home. She will need to continue some new meds in addition to the usual ones she takes. The sky is bright and is reflective of her mood which is now more cheerful and positive. Thank you to all of you for your positive messages and wishes for her recovery.

@a2j

Men's apparel ad on Facebook. #whattheheck is the women's clothing item doing in the ad. I guess they didn't check properly!! #wth

@a2j

It's a slightly subdued sunrise today. There was a sprinkling of rain last night and it smelt lovely. The sun seems bored today - not as bright and blazing as it usually is. Is the peak of summer over?

@a2j

hcaptcha keeps modifying their captchas and some don't work well. This is the usual one where you choose images, but there is a textured overlay to make it more difficult. What annoyed me was that, even though I got it right, it asked me to try again. This happened 3 times before it went back to their default style image choosing that accepted my response. Have you faced this one before?

@a2j

Mom is back home after her treatment in hospital. So, the week ends well for me. The weather outside at 4 pm is bright and the skies are almost clear, except for this one dark cloud that is aimlessly wondering what it can do.

@a2j

We didn't have any rains yesterday, but the cloud covered the skies like a blanket today. The sun was totally covered and I couldn't spot it at all!! It's definitely cooler at 7.30 am. Wonder what July holds for us!!

@a2j

The morning is brighter and a little warmer than yesterday. There is a blanket of clouds, but it's thinner than yesterday's and the sun is shining through. July may be a rollercoaster ride of weather. It will easily be in the mid 30s today (celsius), but I hope we get a splash of rain.

@a2j

A CAPTCHA may not be a legend, but it still has the guts to say "I am CAPTCHA" boldly. Am I supposed to reply by saying "I am human" or type out "I am CAPTCHA" and thereby give up my humanness - this is a paradox.

@a2j

And the queue at jungleTV.live keeps going on and on. It's crossed 50 days without a break. I have been fairly inactive for more than a week, but will explore it again and get some banano. Join in if you're a member.

@a2j

It apparently rained a bit overnight and I didn't even realise it! The damp patches on the ground in the morning was the only evidence left. The sky is still overcast and the heat of the sun seems to be filtered away, so it hasn't been too warm in the day. July chugs on!

@a2j

This is where I had a haircut on the weekend. It's not uncommon for typos and spelling errors to be there on signs in my city, but this one was hilarious. "Hair DIE" instead of "Hair DYE". And I assume that baby cutting meant baby hair cutting - not cutting the whole baby!! I almost ended up killing my hair and losing my little daughter, if they had followed their own signboard!

@a2j

Is the summer heat gone? The mornings are definitely more pleasant and its lovely being out in the balcony as the sun rises. The cloud cover makes it a tad more humid, but definitely cooler too. Still waiting to see if July will spring any surprises.

@a2j

This CAPTCHA literally blanked me! Due to a glitch, the captcha that was supposed to show up as text didn't show up (I tried multiple times). The site kept scolding me saying I had to type in the text. With no text, and no space to put it in, as a human, I could just be frustrated. (PS: finally the site worked after i changed my payment method)

@a2j

After warding it off for more than 2 years while still working daily in a high risk place, it finally sneaked into our house. Down with covid - mild symptoms and waiting to get back to work by the weekend.

@a2j

The morning started off lazy as i wasn't going to work today. I had a fever overnight and took some paracetamol. Woke up feeling good and afebrile. It was 8.30 am by the time I went out to the balcony. The sun is high in the sky, but the clouds are having a good day too. It's still under 30 degrees Celsius and will top 33 degrees today. Much better than 40 degrees!!

@a2j

I have not yet lost my sense of taste or smell with covid - I'd hate it if that happens and I can't wake up and smell the coffee. Feeling much better and the coffee brewing in the aeropress was the perfect start to the day.

@a2j

I got a couple of glitchy errors on noise a few hours ago. It was temporary and within minutes, all was well. Did any of you face these problems in your wallet or when you tried to tip? Everything is working perfectly now though.

@a2j

The blazing sun is still subdued by overcast skies and the clouds have made the morning much cooler. I'm still stuck inside the house due to covid, but am feeling much better. Occasional fever and a residual cough.

@a2j

Crows are often looked at as ugly birds. They also make an annoying sound, that makes people think that they are unpleasant. A closer look at a crow will help us realise that they has so much of textures, lines and designs in their black color. It's neck region looks more delicate and their eyes are actually very pretty. It's beak is also more complex than I thought. I tried to grab a closer shot of this crow perched on a ledge, but it's a bit blurry - but you can still…

@a2j

Coinpayu Catch A Cat game is back. Win 80 Satoshi for free, or if you're lucky you can get 800 Satoshi. (I got 80). If you're a member, use the code 'niceweekend' to claim it in the Catch A Cat page.

@a2j

I don't know why I smell smoke all the time - has covid messed up my smell? Anyway, back to work and thankful that the sky is still overcast and July is cooler than May or June. It's been raining in coastal regions and I hope we get some spillover here.

@a2j

Smartphone friendly chips? #wth The length to which they stretch facts to advertise snacks!! This potato chips company claims to be smartphone friendly, because it has less fat and hence your fingers don't get oily and smudge the screen. Is this innovative, funny or misleading advertising? It definitely made me go #whattheheck

@a2j

I've been tardy in posting here as I am not at home, but staying with my sister who is visiting us. So no morning shots or daily musings. I'll post a few random pics when I can. Hope you're all well.

@a2j

We're staying at a relatives place and they've got a pretty garden with some flowers. The drizzle last evening brought out the beauty in these red flowers that were ready to bloom - fresh appeal!

@a2j

Ceiling lamps and chandeliers looks interesting when viewed directly from beneath them. This simple, but elegant ceiling lamp looks interesting doesn't it - especially with the interplay of light, lamp and it's shadows.

@a2j

I'm 150 km away from home and, last evening, it was raining cats and dogs, just when we decided to go to the beach. We waited for the rains to quieten down and then had a quick trip to the beach. It's cool, but quite humid as it's a coastal city.

@a2j

I'm back at home for the rest of the week and sneaked back to the balcony to enjoy the cloudy sunrise. There has been the occasional drizzle through the day. Weather is getting better!

@a2j

While i love rain, I hate it when were travelling. And so here I was yesterday - stuck in the passenger seat of a cab, in standstill traffic as rains slashed down the sky. This was when we were 100 km away from home. Thankfully, the traffic and the rain did not last long and we reached home in a couple of hours.

@a2j

Beach unmasked or humans unmasked? A visit to the beach - spoilt by humans carelessly discarding garbage and masks. I guess we will never learn....

@a2j

I spoke too soon yesterday. The sun is back and brightly shining in the sky. The clouds are scattering and the summer heat is threatening us again. It's a glorious scene, but I'm not in a mood for a hot day!

@a2j

A random flower I clicked at my aunt's home. I love this shade of pink - an almost pastel shade that gives an aura of peaceful bliss as it sits pretty! I'm amazed at the amount of pretty colors that nature produces.

@a2j

Shopping malls are not just for shopping. They are also places to see some interesting decor and art work. This shopping mall has this huge bell at the entrance. I'm not sure if it is real, but certainly worth a look - the amount of detail in the structure is awesome. It has a very traditional vibe to it!

@a2j

It's neither here nor there. It's not as hot as the peak of summer, not is there any hint of rain/chill even in the mornings. The clouds have formeda more dainty pattern in the blue sky. It's bright and sunny at 7 am.

@a2j

Who said that a white flower is plain and can't be beautiful? Look at this pretty cluster of white flowers. The petals are beautifully arranged and shaped uniquely too. The yellow centre is superbly highlighted by the white petals. And the leaves add to their beauty.

@a2j

Another extensive display at the mall we visited this week. If posted a massive bell at the entrance here - https://noise.cash/post/lq9n3w47 This is a complex chandelier that is massive and surrounded by beautifully painted artwork on the walls around. This view is from the first floor. It's wow factor is superb when you walk below it on the ground floor too. I wonder how gorgeous it will be at night with the lights!!

@a2j

This was yesterday's sunrise. Clear skies that promises to be a hot day and it was. We drive 140 km again on Saturday to be withy sister. The traffic was heavy. As we reached our destination we had plenty of rains.

@a2j

It was bright and sunny on Saturday morning when we left home. We're back here and Monday is cloudy and cooler - in fact it had rained overnight. We did a late night drive back home and reached at 1 am. Still fuzzy with lack of sleep!

@a2j

An evening at a crowded beach. Sunday evening at the beach behind my cousin's house was more crowded than we thought. But we found enough space to have a good evening without bumping into a lot of people. The kids had a lot of fun and so did the adults! It wasn't the cleanest of beaches, but was good enough!!

@a2j

Ice cream cake anyone? This looks like cake, but it's ice cream. We had it delivered at home and it's send in a box which has ice sachets around the cake to keep it frozen till it is delivered. This one had a mango flavour and the cake and the ice cream blended so beautifully together!!

@a2j

Halo around the sun and a bright, but pleasant morning. Hope the day is as pleasant as the morning is! July is much better than May or June and this year too the trend has been good. Perfect weather to clean up something.

@a2j

It took me a while to realise this was actually a flower! It has a very spidery design and almost blends in with the leaves of the plant, even though it is white. The petals are delicate and there is a design in them that is intricate. Amazing isn't it!!

@a2j

Did anyone face this error when surfing through noise a few minutes ago. I couldn't access any of the channels, my profile or main page. It seems back up again. I hope this is just a temporary glitch.

@a2j

It rained again overnight and so the morning was cooler and a little more humid. With the intermittent rains in the last month, the dry brown of summer is slowly being replaced by green slowly. Even the hill looks greener.

@a2j

The swimming pool we never went to - so close and yet so far. We did a great family get together at a beach resort yesterday. Late at night, we walked all around one of the biggest pools we've seen and planned to get in after breakfast the next morning. But that never happened. We had so much to do, that we finally had to check out without using the pool. So I'm left with only photographs of the pool at night.

@a2j

We're back at home after taking a break at the beach yesterday. It rained last night, so the morning is cooler. The clouds are a collection of different patterns aren't they? I hope things go on like this. This is the only weekend i don't want rain as we're meeting up as a family and hope to spend quality time together.

@a2j

Can there be a museum just for seashells?! The seashells museum in India blew my mind away. It's a collection of 10s of thousands of seashells, all neatlarranged and labelled. It's been entirely collected by one person with a passion for seashells and is the largest such museum in the world. It has to be seen to be believed!

@a2j

A blanket of clouds has obscured the clouds. The day has started off cool (by our local weather standards!!). I hope the clouds stay that way in the morning as the kids plan to play some basketball later in the morning. I also hope it doesn't rain!

@a2j

Sunrise, beach, waves, shells, sand, breeze and spray. What could be better!! This was Thursday morning at the beach.

@a2j

Life size chess anyone? This human sized chess board must be fun to play. And in the night, with the lights focussed on it, it looks good too. The kids had fun moving the pieces and also managed to play a real game if chess!

@a2j

Have you ever seen a cassette player with a transistor radio? They were very popular in the 1980s and 1990s. I saw them on a rustic display in a restaurant and it brought back lots of memories!

@a2j

Night basketball anyone? After many months, we went to the basketball court at 9 pm for a little time of shooting. It was fun as my sister's family and brother were with us. The weather was perfect and we had a good time. Should do this more often!!

@a2j

Sea shells on the sandy sea shore - perfect example of the soothing power of nature. The sound of the waves in the background adds to the mesmerizing beauty!

@a2j

It's been drizzling this morning and there's actually a little mist over the hill top. I've never seen it in July - it's usually seen only in November and December! It's lovely and cool and hopefully is a sign that summer is gone. We still hit the mid thirties (celsius), but the heat is shorter and not as penetrating as the peak of summer.

@a2j

Bougainville come in so many colors, but this color is so unique. It's orangish - i don't know if this actually a name for this shade of color. The patterns on the petals and the tiny inner flower add to the beauty. Which is your favorite Bougainville color?

@a2j

Nothing like the feel of fresh grass after a light drizzle on your bare feet. Taking the photo with the phone low down on the grass makes it so gorgeous. I could lie down on this the whole evening if it weren't for some bugs and slugs crawling around.

@a2j

These colorful things stuck on our display cupboard are actually some craft material that kids can put together easily. My little daughter enjoys doing it - it's sticky particles of many colors that they put together in a pretemplated design and then can be stuck on a wall. Cute!

@a2j

One thing that enhances a flower's beauty is a butterfly. This butterfly is plain brown and the flower is a pretty shade of yellow. The combination is beautiful!! #originalpost #nofilter

@a2j

It's still cloudy, but the sun is able to penetrate it easily today. This shot was taken 1 hour ago. Right now, the sun is merrily up in the sky and the clouds are scattering away. It looks like it's gonna be warmer today than yesterday.

@a2j

We're lucky that there is a tennis court inside our apartment campus where my son can attend tennis coaching. It's usually dark by the time he finishes. Kids doing sports is good!!

@a2j

It's definitely getting hotter again. The skies are almost clear in the morning and the sun is brighter. Looks like summer is showing us it's ugly head again. I hope this is just a brief spell of heat.

@a2j

This time, I was sure my portulaca had been killed by the heat. But it held on and now, with the rains, it has managed to put out a flower. It still looks quite fragile and parts of it have withered away. But I'm hoping for the best.

@a2j

The sun is bright and early and the sparse clouds mean that the camera captures an arc of light from the sun. It's heading towards a hot weekend. I have a some work at the passport office today and I hope it goes well.

@a2j

Can you count the number of petals in this flower? It's mesmerizing isn't it?! Even if you start counting, you will probably just get lost in the depths of its beauty. Saw this in a garden at a resort we stayed in earlier this week.

@a2j

hCaptcha is the most dynamic of the CAPTCHAs with a new captcha every now and then. This one annoyed me totally! It showed pictures of dogs and asked to pick the ones which are smiling!!!! #wth I thought every dog looked like it was smiling!! And then the next set asked me to pick dogs that had their eyes closed. With the color ofnthe dogs, the size of the pics and the resolution of the photos, this is tougher than it seems. hCaptcha seems to be trying to make.life tough for…

@a2j

The warmer days continue and the rains have ceased. The nights are cool though. The days are not 40 degrees like summer, but afternoons can be uncomfortable. The sunrises and dawn are as spectacular as ever.

@a2j

Another little rant on hcaptcha. This has happened a few times this week. The captcha doesn't show up inspite of waiting for a few minutes. But when I click on get credit it gives an error about incorrect captcha. How can a human being solve a captcha that is not displayed??!! It didn't seem to be a internet glitch ad everything else and other CAPTCHAs were working well.

@a2j

We had this eerie looking bug stalking the entrance of the lift last night. It didn't look dangerous though, but it was large - about the size of a fist! It merrily crawled all along the lift door and chose to ignore us as we entered the lift. A brief encounter and we all survived.

@a2j

Boats out fishing at the break of dawn. It's very calming to see the boats against the rising sun at the beach. From this distance, all looks fine, but the boat is probably getting tossed a little by the wind and the swells as the fishermen work hard. This pic is from a visit to a beach resort a week ago. #unedited

@a2j

It's almost 8 am and the sun is bright and chirpy. It looks like it's emitting smoke as the clouds around are thin and smokey! The days are getting a little hotter and the nights are cool. Waiting for this hot spell to end.

@a2j

After a brief hot spell in the last week of July, we've had another good shower this evening. The rain has partly obscured the hill and cooled down the evening a lot. It's quite pleasant. I love the rain!!

@a2j

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what hCaptcha makers think about when they make these #whattheheck CAPTCHAs. This one talks about elephants and clouds - I guess the captcha makers were high when they came up with this. Maybe on cloud 9. #wth
