Alice is thankful with this woman in her life:
Her aunt:
Alice is a shy type girl but kind. She don't want attention for it means that she needed to talk and get along with the people around her. She just nodding and smiling when someone talk to her. She loves to be alone than being with friends.
Her aunt talk to her one day, that she needed to lessen her shyness for nothing to be ashamed for. But Alice find it hard to be with other people. But still she consider her aunt advise.
Alice talk to herself, "what's wrong with you Alice. You can't live alone you need to communicate with other people". Its really hard to change when its not your preference to talk in a public.
Her aunt doing something in order for her to talk. When there is an occasion like birthdays, reunion, family and others she introduce Alice to her relatives and friends. You can see that her aunt is proud of her but Alice find it awkward but she manage to smile and say hi and hello"kamusta po".
"Oh Alice you are so beautiful" said the visitors . Alice is blushing for its her first time that someone appreciates her beauty. She smiles and say thank you po. Alice don't appreciates herself. She's a simple woman without using any make-ups, lipsticks, lotion and powder. She's already contented with the soap she's using. That's why when someone complimented her, her ears become bigger haha XD.
At some point, she's gaining a little confidence with her self, thanks to her aunt. Now, she knew why her aunt invited her in every occasion. She wanted her to exposed infront of many people in order for Alice to practice talking and to get along with other people. It helps Alice though.
There are many reasons why she is thankful to her aunt:
Her aunt is always there to support her. Sometimes, her aunt gave Alice a money. Alice sometimes ashamed to accept it because its big and she don't know what she've done why her aunt giving her money. She guest her aunt is generous enough.
Her aunt loves cooking and its her hobby to cook a lot. They are few in the family and everytime they eat her aunt can't forget Alice. Alice always have a food in the table especially in lunch for her aunt is generous enough in sharing their food not only for Alice but for the whole family.
Her aunt have swimming pool upstairs and its open for Alice and for the whole family. Her aunt is really a good person. Alice can't feel that she is an outsider to their family. Your the one who feel ashamed to them but her Aunt said its nothing. What a good aunt right?
Her aunt always shares her blessing to Alice and to the whole family. Everyone is thankful to that family for opening their hands, arms, kitchen, and home for Alice's family.
Its a privilege for Alice having an aunt who is helpful, generous, kind and loving without thinking anything in return.
She wish that all people is like her aunt. What a wonderful and happy life, if all people are like that.
Everyday, she prays for the good health of her aunt and to the whole family. Alice don't know how to express how thankful she is to her aunt but God knows how grateful she is. That's why she's always praying to God to protect, to bless, to guide , and to lover her more.
Because she can't express her feelings and not good in talking she made a thank you letter for her aunt. She hope that her aunt will like it. She's also learning now, how to get along with other people. She wanted to do it because she don't want her aunt to get disappointed with her.
Alice started talking with other people little by little and find it weird but along the way she learned it.
Alice realized that, not all the time, being alone is happy. You really need to communicate in order for you to be understood and to feel belong to your family.
A big thanks to her aunt for knowing her without talking at all. Thanks to her aunt for noticing her and for not judging her. She just help Alice to know the value of getting along with other people.
Without her aunt exposing her in public, Alice would still locking in her room and wondering.
Life is hard when you feel alone. Life is hard when no one notice you. Life is hard when no one appreciate you. Life is hard when people around you can't understand you- Alice said.
