More like yellow. May be ripen or disease

Maybe it is diseased. Eggplants go from white, green, lavander then violet

Lack of nutrition also cause this. I went one a project work and while stealing eggplant we saw some eggplant like this

Well can't say but I think it's a defect only. About lycopen I have heard of it but don't know about it serioualy. I think it's a defect and we even saw some yellow chilli there. So can't tell. I though it was somehow lacking Mn as I have heard Lack of Mn makes leaf yellow. But about fruit. Don't know. It's not in my side actually or I haven't read

If it's yellowish then tbat means that it lacks chlorophyll but when that happens, lycopene and beta carotene replaces the chlorophyll to supply nutrients to the growing plant. I'm not sure about Mn because that's just a cofactor to speed up the process

Lack of Mn disrupts the chlorophyll systhesis and that's why it comes yellow as far as I remember. Lycopene could be a good fact. don't know.

Not really disrupts but just slows it. Though my bet is on beta carotene since it's the secondary or.. back up energy system
