Watched Dune on my tv last night via HBO MAX - put it on at 09:30 with the kids out at school and invited friends around. Why the cinema is better - nobody asks you stupid questions about what's going on they just sit back and enjoy the spectacle. Also if you're watching a film at home and have to ask someone what's going on - wait until the actors have stopped talking. Setup: NAD T777 surround sound amplifier - direct 5.1 Dolby suround, 180W Q-Acoustics speakers, subwoofer, centre and rear, apple 4k TV, LG 65 inch 4K UltraHD TV. (almost all bought second hand) tip for those of you wanting a good sound setup - get good quality second-hand speakers - much better value than new low-mid range priced speakers. Awsome setup - was worried at one point that I'd have the neighbours calling round as I almost put the sound level to neutral on the amp - which for those of you that don't have a big amplifier it means - it's f@cking loud - the couch shook occasionally.
