Sunday walk through crypto twitter 1. Old Vs New - Berkshire Hathaway (BH) mocked for not investing in Bitcoin - Bill Mather mocks cryptocurrencies - ending in the climate warming debate where Crypto is framed as an environmental disaster. BH doesn’t hold gold - So why would they hold Bitcoin? - they have invested in Mining companies but have now exited - so if BH invests in Crypto it will be in a company/service utilising crypto, not the unique crypto asset? What companies are out there - Coinbase? - not according to their stock chart. Bill Mather - Environmental issues with crypto - very difficult to actually work out what net effect cryptocurrencies would have on the environment long term - for instance, if crypto upsets existing banking systems does that also mean fewer financial districts in cities - which are basically made of high rise artificially ventilated and lit buildings - less large glass refrigerators also reduces carbon footprint. Major study required here. Also part of a classic strategy of keeping people out of the market until it’s time for the big boys to sell to them. 2. Micheal Saylor - Bitcoin most powerful technology of this century - debatable - yes it’s going to challenge existing financial structures and transform the way we do commerce - however, advances in technology are also being applied for instance to new forms of food production and energy production systems - “Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish been caught, and the last stream poisoned, will we realise we cannot eat money.” Perhaps we should think of crypto as part of an assemblage of advancing technologies not a technological solution in itself? Hence Bitcoin not really positioned for this as they can't even get a decent payment system going. 3. Alt season coming - buy the dip etc - unless your highly technically skilled - avoid jumping in and out. If you missed the massive two-year accumulation phase - sorry - go slow - less gainz choose decent projects - be happy with 300% increases blah blah blah. 4. ETH going to 3000 and will outperform Bitcoin possibly - gas fees still high but are important in terms of pumping ETH (still don’t see Bitcoin maximalists properly shaking off fees issue) 5. Dodge going to 2 dollars by the end of may - possibly but rug pull alert on amber - see point 3. 5. Retire on crypto adverts - men in suits who used to work at a shoe store - damn I wish it was that easy. Allot of broken hearts on the horizon. 6. Charts - a lot of inverse head and shoulders - reaccumulation patterns - aggressive moves to the upside always start with a decent shake out. Have we had it? 7. Smart BCH Bitcoin Cash smart contracts - I’ve watched two videos on this and have no idea about crypto technologies - layman’s comment - it sounds awesome and the underlying logic looks well game planned - will be a major toe in the water in terms of measuring a change in the network effect for Bitcoin Cash. 8. 1000 USD BCH - still a cheap buy - what will you tell your kids if you don't get some now? Yes if you’ve been asleep at the wheel for three years. If not buy BCH now - delete all crypto portfolio apps from your phone and block access to coinmarketcap.com - come back in a few months and be happy. 9. BCH onboarding retailers - looks like several a day at the moment - amazing. #BitcoinCash
