**The SEC case is the reason**      The SEC sued Gemini along with bankrupt Genesis (the holder of Gemini Earn funds) on January 12, 2023. Although the case isn't over and there is no end to the dispute between Gemini and DCG (the parent company of Genesis), XRP's victory over the SEC might have fueled Gemini.
