Goerli was the first proof-of-authority that became popular due to its permissionless validator set. Now Holesky has replaced it. **Holesky completes Sepolia's work**      Goerli came to life after Sepolia. The Sepolia testnet was used to test smart contracts for developers. Holesky tests the infrastructure and protocol development for validators, node operators, and rollup teams. Holesky thus completes Sepolia's work. **Big Holesky shuts down Goerli, not Sepolia**      As mentioned above, Goerli was not a real testnet, so Goerli was shut down as soon as Holesky went live.
