How Stop Bleeding in Chickens Often we find adult chickens or chicks fighting with each other, until finally there is serious bleeding, because the chicken skin is torn. Don't panic, clean the wound then sprinkle turmeric powder or coffee powder to stop the bleeding. Then give the human medicine amoxicillin 1/2 caplet for adult chickens and 1/4 caplet for chicks. This is safe for chickens so that bad bacteria don't spread and make chickens recover quickly. Give this medicine once a day until the chickens are completely healed and back to normal. That's how I deal with bleeding in chickens without sewing the chicken.
