Pay attention to the distance of the lights When chicks have just hatched, they need some warmth, especially when you use a chick coop like mine. The distance between the lamp and the floor mat is about 4 fingers, pay attention to the air circulation too, if the chicks' cage is not warm enough add a lamp. As long as the chick coop is comfortable and warm, the chicks stay healthy and agile.

i use it bulb to make a warmer of the chicks, it is having to do that to help and build a better condition of the chicks.

They need a little warmth to be comfortable like people when are born. The advantage of a classic light bulb is that in addition to light, it also heats up.
