Caring for Chicks I added several laying chicks to accompany the white leghorn chicks in the chicken coop, to make it look more lively. :) Look at the White Leghorn looking at me, it looks like it's on standby haha. Laying chicks will be ready to lay eggs when they are 5 months old and that will make my fridge full again. Caring for chicks requires extra attention, especially warmth, availability of food and drink, so that the chicks stay alive and can grow to maturity.
