Exploring Vigan

6 3

Vigan is one of the most Historical spots in the Philippines. It is located in Ilocus Sur, a part of Northern Philippines. There are many places to visit there and theres a story behind those beautiful sceneries.

My officemates and I planned to visit Vigan and heres our travel escapade.

The Bantay Watch Tower

According to our tour guide, this is used when Spanish invades the Philippines. It serves as a watch tower if the Spaniards are already coming. The scenery is fine. Theres a lot of flowers in the area and when you enter the watch tower , it feels like you bring back the past. The structures are so old but its beautiful and amazing.

Its me taking selfie infront of the watch tower.

Calle Crisologo

This is the second destination of our Vigan Tour. Seeing those houses in this street makes you feel proud because they still able to preserved it among years. You can take a picture all you want here. Theres also a store here when you can buy pasalubong like the famous Ilocos Empanada.

Vigan Plaza

The third place to visit in our tour is the Vigan Plaza. We took pictures in the Ilocos Sur signage for remembrance

The Marcos Museum

Heres the fourth place to visit in our tour. The Marcos Museum. This place was amazing. Its so historical. Theres a lot of things here during the Marcos time that were preserved.

Hidden Garden

Its almost lunch time so we need to find a place where to eat. We find this Hidden Garden. A peaceful place with plants and flowers ofcourse. , thats why its called garden. We ordered sinigang ng Bagnet. One of the delicacies in Vigan

The Pasalubong Center

Theres a lot of stuff here that you can buy such as key chain shirts and hand made crafts of the local here.

We also visit the Baluarte Zoo and the Palayok Making place but I dont have a picture of it.

Philippines is such a great country. Be proud that your are a Filipino.
