A black&white pic can seem cold for the grey and the dark colours. On the contrary it can make you notice details you haven't spotted before. I shooted this when I was experimenting macro photography, this is what's left of a dead and dried daisy. B&w shades seem giving it a new life as if the flower is not dead at all, don't you think?
