Whether the matter is with Allah Pak or with the people of the world, if you stop saying thank you, then Allah Almighty will stop giving you too. No matter what the situation is with you, always give thanks to Allah Pak because only Allah Pak has the power to make every bad situation good. Give thanks to Allah's creatures as well, because if you give thanks to the creatures, the Creator (Allah Almighty) will be happy and reward you.
