Parenting (from a Mid-20s Mom)
Raising a child is not easy as singing the ABC. It is more than that. It is behind that singing- the reading and understanding. Parenting is not just giving food to your child or takes them to bath. It's a lot of work to do. A lot of wisdom, explanation and realization to take in before you know the true meaning of parenting. I was twenty three years old when I had my first baby. I was a first time mother back in 2018, although beforehand I experienced taking care of my nieces and nephew. Not until I get to experience it to myself, have a child of mine. I discovered it is difficult. I am working while building and protecting my family. Just like that, three years passedby of being a mother to my children. From breastfeeding to handling their tantrums. From giving their needs to identifying the necessary things to making best options. A question that will pop, how do we handle those things? It is not always saying yes to them, as parents we need to set limitations and boundaries that not all we see and want are we will easily get. A lot of patience and understanding is needed in raising our children. A lot of explanation to give until they understand what we are sharing to them. Raising our child is depending in our own strategy. We do not have the same children, they have different characteristics, talents, behavior, etc. Parenting can be hard but we would learn it from other mothers, our mothers, from our experience, from our partners, from our God, from our friends and especially we will learn from our children. As you read this, you will realize how tiring parenting can be. But at the end of the day, seeing them you will forget the word and feeling tired. Seeing your children makes you feel it is all worth it. No explanation needed. Thank you for reading this. ❤
