Rose And Genetic Engineering In the beginning there has been rose and white flowers. But with the passage of time genetic engineering developed a great change in ornamental plants. They made a cross of red rose to the white flower. The cross resulted in one pink population. It was lacking fragrance but the color was quite charming. With the passage of time they developed property of aroma in the pink flowers but they failed to bring it back properly. Last year I saw a flower that had fragrance very lovely but the same flower was smelling very bad in the next pot. Indeed it's Genetic Engineering that made it possible. #Flower #Rose #Geneticengineering

I knew that genetic engineering has been done on flowers for year but this information that even the color changes is result of it is new for me. Thanks for sharing
