"Tartrazine" are you by any chance familiar with the word?

I have shared to you in this article about the additives added on meat on one of my article https://read.cash/@Xzeon/be-health-conscious-c3e8d565 give time to read pls. And share also.

This time i'm going to get you familiarize with a certain additive that we are mostly unaware of or maybe you are already aware of it but you just took it so lightly ๐Ÿ˜Š.

So here it is..

Tartrazine is a yellow food coloring and is also called

. FD&C Yellow#5,

. E # E102,

. Acid Yellow 23,

. Food Yellow 4,

. and trisodium 1--4--5-pyrazolone-3-carboxylate.

This artificial coloring is known to be widely used in some foods and even in some pharmaceuticals for a long time. But in countries like Norway and Austria, the use of tartrazine has been banned while other countries also are following. It is said to have a great effect on children and gives negative effect to the consumers. FDA Is still gathering some evidence from countries who appeal for the dropping of the said coloring on the products in which it is added.

A human consumption of tartrazine must be 7.5/mg/kg of body weight.

So for example I am 50 kg in body weight, i am only recommended to consume 375 mg of tartrazine in a day. The calculation for the children is also the same depending on their bodyweight. So if you know that your kid is fond of eating foods with tartrazine content. Its your responsibility as a parent to control their intake.

Here are the some most familiar foods that contains yellow #5

๐Ÿ‘‰ice cream, seasonings of intant noodles, popsicles, hard candy, gummies, milk, soft drinks, juices( powdered and liquid packs) candies, cakes, baked products, and cereals.

๐Ÿ‘‰Tartrazine also is found in cosmetics like moisturizers, lotions, bar soaps, liquid bar soaps, and green hand sanitizers shampoos,

๐Ÿ‘‰It is also present in some of the cough syrups, vitamins, antacids, lotions, gels, capsules and pills.

Here are the disadvantages of tartrazine:

๐Ÿ‘‰. May contribute to migraines, eczema, clouded vision, nervousness, asthma attacks, other skin rashes and thyroid cancer

๐Ÿ‘‰. Tartrazine may cause hyperactivity and hypersensitivity in children, asthma, and allergies.

๐Ÿ‘‰. Its my give negative effects on children. Not just to their health but to their behaviour as well. Some studies showed that children who are extremely exposed to tartrazine are likely to have hyperactivity disorder.

Though this reported bad reactions from tartrazine is still very controvercial, the numbers of records collected gives the high possibility that the reports are true.

So before we picked those goodies and placing them in your cart, try to have some time in checking its content. And do tell your physician about your allergies and history of asthma so they can prescibe you the medicine that is suited for your physical situation.

It is said that artificial colorings are cheaper than organic food colorings so most users preffered to use it. And yes they are present in junk foods.

This has been banned by the local fda though. I remember testing hundreds of candies there for the presence of this dye. Though in some other countries, it's under regulation, just that

Yes. Luckily but in some other areas.. Its still controversial. I dunno what kind of proof and evidence they still need in order to ban it. ๐Ÿ˜

Who knows. People already get enough illnesses from that foord colorant but then their excuse is that they regulate it. What about the consumers though? And their chips and candy consumption (common place where this is put in and is the most widely consumed)

I smell something fishy about that... I just think that manufacturers are paying those "regulators" under the table.

How did you know this ๐Ÿ‘€ but yeah... some companies pay... then sometimes fda just approves so that it doesn't lessen the company funds or put the organization on fire. It happens more in other countries than here though

Nah. It just my assumption. But You can detect it right away.. This kind of corrupt gov. Officials/ and swindlers are sooo famous here in our country.

Not really swindlers but the taxes that come from those companies. I've experienced these cases while working in fda ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ but i won't mention companies, might get raided at home

Oh ok๐Ÿคซ but we call them swindlers still. Because they are relatives with corrupt gov. Officials. Actually we call them "buwaya" Crocodile. Imagine a croc with big and wide jaw. Its their definition. They use their power to accumulate money from those manufacturers, so instead of asking for the right amount. They will ask for more or receive bribery that goes directly to their pockets.]

So those are really the term people use. Never heard of them being called buwaya before, swindlers at most because that's what they do. And having relatives in the government is a bit out of topic, i think that's in line with political dynasty and royalty already, it doesn't apply to laboratories enough for me to experience that
