The Mysterious Boss

John was a security guard who works in a big house. This house was so huge that it can accommodate the numbers of people. He was working in here for almost 30 years.

For these 30 years of service, John finds something strange about his male boss. Whenever John opened the gate for him and greets him, he never responded. He thought of being him rude and stern. But that doesn't prevent John to continue his job.

There were big parties in the big house. John Always took some of the foods to bring it home. They were so poor that they can't afford to buy something more but only enough for their survival and even lacking.

There were lots of leftovers that are being thrown in the garbage bin and even piled beside it. John never hesitates to search the garbages and take home whatever useful things and foods he could take. Someone saw it but never say a word.

The next morning, John saw a bag of groceries near a pile of the garbage bin. He was happy and took it home. But it went on every day. John doesn't worry anymore about his family. The groceries helped a lot and it made their life better

Then suddenly he learned that his boss passed away. He was sad even though he felt unwanted and unnoticed by the man.

Then John noticed that he never saw any grocery near the garbage bin anymore. It made him feel unhappier. Again, they were struggling for their sustenance. He decided then to talk to the wife of his late boss for a raise in his salary.

When his female boss heard about it, she asked why he didn't ask for it earlier and why ask now? John explained a lot of reasons but in the end, he told the truth that he was contented in his life because of the bags of groceries he gets near a garbage bin every day What's more surprising to him was the reaction of the woman?

"It stopped when my husband died isn't it?" the woman asked, tears flowing from her eyes. The guard apologized for asking for the elevation of his salary. But the wife said "You are the seventh who received bags of groceries from my late husband. He was a good man."

John was shocked!
His boss? Stern and a rude man? but he kept it to himself. The following day, someone knocked on the door. It was his boss' son. He is holding a bag of groceries! But like his father, he never response when John said: "Thank You".

One day because of his emotion he said it loudly but added: " I'm sorry, please don't be offended."

The son turned and smiled, "I have a hearing problem just like my dad. But you are welcome."

John was silent. Deep inside he felt sorry for thinking that his boss was rude. He's wrong all along.
