Tomorrow he will visit Annie in their home. He made a decision last night. She remembered her told him that it's not that far where she will transfer. So he decided to follow her after he graduates from college. That way they will not be missing each other.
The next day, he waited for someone to come out of Annie's house. An elderly, maybe their maid came out carrying garbage and disposing of it when he approached. He asked first if Annie is at home. He was surprised by the look of her face. She then scanned him from head to toes. Then with a sympathetic voice, her answer brought a bomb in his ears.
Annie was dead a month ago! A tragic death where her parents can't even accept.
How come? She was with him for how many days? He insisted and even showed the old woman his phone with Annie when they went out and having a good time together. But what's more surprising is all of the pictures he captured, he was alone! The old lady patted his shoulders telling him it's ok. She thought he was Annie's bf and hadn't moved on after Annie's death but No! she was with her.
Nathan was confused. He rolled back the memories they were together and trying to look for something he wasn't aware of what it is. Then a realization came into his mind! The kiss! it is different. Though it's sweet it feels like ice. Now he never hesitated to ask for the location of Annie's corpse. He takes note of everything and saved it in his notepad.
He drove straight to the cemetery where the old lady instructed. His feet are shaking and he thought of collapsing at any moment. Too many revelations he can't keep focused. When he arrived at a newly cemented spot. His tears involuntarily rolled down in his cheeks upon reading on the name encrypted in the gravestone."Annie Gem A. Montes" He fell on his knees and can't hold back his emotions and began to weep loudly. His Annie was gone. So it is true. It was confirmed that he was in love with a ghost! A chill suddenly enveloped his body. But he felt comforted and not feeling cold instead. Few seconds and it disappeared. He went straight home absent-minded.
Nathan's sister was in the entryway and was astonished seeing him. He should be out and about at this point engaging passengers to their everyday task. In any case, the condition that happened some time prior was overpowering. His coolness didn't effect this time. As he strolls inside the house her sister is babbling about the story that happened the previous evening. He isn't demonstrating interest and just nods to show he is listening in however his psyche is elsewhere. At that point, a name grabbed his attention. He faced her sister again with eyes wide with interest and inquired as to whether he heard it right.
"Annie Montes". She said again."What regarding her?" he inquired. Indicating all intrigue this time. Her sister got irritated for him not listening in to her story. However, recounted the story and the detail of the passenger of the accident the other night. The driver was as yet alive when he was gotten by ambulance however, after the revelation of his mystery wrongdoing, he made his final gasp. He revealed his numerous crimes to the number of students after raping them and dumping them on empty lots.
The Identification card was gathered from his hand by the orderly of the rescue vehicle. He cleaned the blood that recoloured the plastic card and read the name. It wasn't his, it's a young ladies' school ID. The intense print was now visible, "Annie Gem A. Montes." A new victim was saved at that moment.
Days after the incident made Nathan become another person. He became silent and seems his mind is nowhere. He remembered her telling him to transfer permanently not far from their present location. He never anticipated it was a cemetery. He realizes that the people that look at him and smile at him when they were together were smile of sympathy. They thought he's insane. Talking to himself.
Days passed, then weeks turned to months. He decided to step back to earth this time. He recalled Annie made him vow not to miss her when she's gone. So he is doing it now. He woke up early and prepared to go to work. He finally graduated successfully. But his planned love life failed.
It was pouring hard that night when Nathan thought out of nowhere to pass by the waiting shed and try to reminiscence the memories for the last time. Just for the last time. As he was approaching the waiting shed, the street is very busy. He saw numerous students ride into different cabs. Different locations and destinations he thought but his heart has nowhere to go. There was one left waiting and she was waving at him to stop.
When the passenger stepped in and stated her destination and closed the door, his heart left the sad memories behind. He started the engine and drove away.
As planned he wanted to start anew. He begins to open a live chat. He asked his new passenger's name to begin with. The girl smiled and murmured sweetly "Annie".

I found the finaleeee!!! It was a really good read :") kinda sad with the plot twist but the story was great. Hope he would at least try to get a better love life with a real person this time
