✍️ Title: The Day I Regretted Trusting My Best Friend 📝 Article: Everyone has that one friend in life — the one who feels like a brother, someone you laugh with, trust blindly, and believe would never betray you. I had that friend too. Or at least I thought I did. This story goes back to 8th grade. Let’s call him Ali. We were always together — in school, in tuition, even playing mobile games late at night. I really believed he was my best friend. One day, we had a surprise test in school. I had totally forgotten about it and wasn’t prepared at all. I was panicking. Ali looked at me and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll help you during the test.” That one sentence gave me so much relief. I trusted him. I believed he had my back. But during the test, I kept looking at him for help. He avoided eye contact. He didn’t give even a single hint. It felt like I was invisible. After the test, I failed. Ali, on the other hand, scored full marks. Later, I asked him, “Why didn’t you help me like you said?” He simply said, “I was scared they’d catch me too.” That hit me hard. Not because I failed, but because someone I trusted just chose to leave me behind. ---
