The forty bastions of Derawar are visible for many miles in the Cholistan Desert. The walls have a perimeter of 1500 metres and stand up to thirty metres high.
First developed by the Persians around 400 BC, the Yakhchāl is an ancient type of ice house that functions as an evaporative cooler, used to store ice for use in the summer, as well as for food storage.
The one in the picture is the oldest one still standing in Iran and is 400 years old..

The archaic and stiff shape of the xhubletë goes as far back in time as the pre-Illyrian age. The Black Xhubletë, the women’s dress of Malësi e Madhe and Dukagjin is the oldest and has an indisputably quadrimillennial passport.

According to foreign and Albanian scholars, the xhubletë closely approximates the ancient dress of Knossos in Crete, being in common use in the entire Mediterranean world predating classical antiquity. The Albanian xhubletë also bears a resemblance to the figurine of the bronze period in Dalmatia: the terracotta of Klicevac (Bosnia).

2000-year-old marble thrones at the ancient theatre of Amphiareion of Oropos, Greece.
The Amphiareion at Oropos, sanctuary of the hero Amphiaraos, was greatly famed and frequented by pilgrims who went to seek oracular responses and healing.
The sanctuary also contained a theatre. The theatre is dated to the 2nd century BCE by inscriptions and the seating area was likely composed of wooden seats on stone supports.

🛠 It was built by Mansudae Overseas Projects, a North Korean company, famous for various projects and large statues throughout Africa since the 1970s.
💰 The colossal statue has been criticized for its cost at US$ 27 million (£16.6m).
📎 In the 21st century, the African Renaissance reflects Africa’s conscious need; not only for political independence, regional integration and the improvement of living standards, but also for liberation from the economic dependence and democratic stagnation that have reversed the short-lived prosperity of the independence era.

Roman Rota Game in the Old Forum, Leptis Magna
First named in 1916 by Elmer Truesdell Merrill, Rota is a common Ancient Roman game played on a circular board that divided into 8 segments, with 8 carved, circular cells filling the points of the segments and a ninth cell sitting at the center of the board. Similar to Chinese checkers and tic-tac-toe, Rota involved players trying to get their three pieces to form a connected line by having a piece in three linear cells. Interestingly, players could not skip a turn nor could more than one piece occupy a cell, meaning players had to carefully maneuvor their pieces around the board. Thus, Rota could be considered a pure strategy game, with little luck or chance involved in its gameplay.
