The thief in the Night

The dogs are barking loud ,while the neighborhood were already in silence and sleeping.Nobody knows that there is a thief in the night to come on that day.

One day,my Auncle died and he used to lived in the city and some of our relatives lives in the province a like us.And because their siblings were needed to go into my deceased Auncle,they have talk with my parents that they will be departed in the afternoon.One of my Auncle's house here in our place was left with nobody,all of his children also went to the city to attend the vigil.They have a piso wifi vendo,car wash machine and a grocery store,with no one to watch over it.

They don't have an idea that there is someone who is planning to robbed in their house,since the neighborhood were all just friends,except for the new stranger who live in front of their house.

My Auncle was buried last Friday,and Auncle Pablo(the owner of the robbed house),went there,his wife and children.After the burial,they go home in the evening at 10 in the evening.When they arrived in their home,they saw that the groceries were already scattered inside the store.And my aunt go to her room and find out that her shoulder bag was lost,where they have put the keys in their wifi vendo. She also checked her alkansiya or piggy bank which she allocated for their electric bill and she doesn't see it anymore.It was also taken by the thief.And when she go to their store,and she find out that the money that she put on her, plastic ware was also lost,all of it,there is no single peso the is left behind,cigarettes and a few bottle of beers were also taken.

She cried and felt angry,she posted it on Facebook ,all of her dismay and hurt feelings.But there's no one who really knows,of who are those people who robbed them.

Actually,it was not the first time that it happened to my Auncle Pablo's house,it was the third time already.And not only that,it also happened in the nearest neighborhood when the residents went to other to other place for few days.These people even stole plates,and other things inside the house,like blankets.But I think it's getting worst this pandemic.

It's hard to point fingers of who will be the offender,there's no witness that can identify the suspect.Unlike last year,that my Auncle's have caught in the act the thief and it was really a surprised,because it's a kid I think his 8-9 years old.But now,we don't know whose the thief.

Even if the doors were locked up when they are very aggressive to do such thing,

What lessons they have learned from this experience?

• Always bring your necessities like money when you and your family needs to go in other place.

Of course,money is the most specific target of the thief ,because they really bring it all.Aside from other things which people might noticed them if they have created noise.

• If possible,there should be someone who can watch over the house or at least sleep during night time.My Auncle had told his neighbor to watch during the day only and during the night there's nobody in there.

• Install cctv,this maybe a costly option,but they have planned to have it,because it's the third time that they have robbed by the thief.At least they can monitor their house if there are any suspicious activity around.

They are just thankful that there is no other damages,and the other valuable things were still there.

• And lastly,don't leave heavy metal,of anything that the thief can be used to destroy the padlock,unless they will bring.

My Auncle have left the metal bars in front of their back door and that was being used by the thief to destroy the window.They found the bar in front of their door.

Nobody knows when will the thieves come to us,and most of the time we are unprepared.That is why,we should always be proactive,take safety measures first before anything can happen to us.

The bad guys always come out during night time,because they were assuming that nobody can see them.These people belongs in the dark,even if my Auncle doesn't know who they are,but I'm sure they will reap what they sow.There is no bad acts that will result into good.Its like a cause and effect principle,once a person can accumulate things from bad ways,it will not make them prosper.
