Expressing my ideas with politics in my place

The election is just approaching but the candidates in my place are very busy doing their political strategy. Especially that the opening of the school year 2021-2022 is coming. And guess what, they have some kind of having competence with the scholarship program. But...

Politics today has a big difference before when I was young, it changes totally to about 180' degrees. Here's the point ;

Even though the election is not yet finished but they already knew who are we gonna vote for, why?Because they already had a meeting, in every barangay, having their list. They already distributed an identification card if you are one of them but if you are not you don't have it.

Now back to the scholarship program, my friend is applying for a scholarship with one of the rumored candidates in my place and a former government official also today. She wasn't aware that if she will apply for that scholarship spot she will also be removed from the Philhealth benefit of the local government. They said that once you have grabbed any privileges on the opposite side you will also be taken away from the other, which means, you should have to choose only one of them, and you're fine.

My opinion and understanding

Here's what I understand,

They want to control our decisions, very tight, they have always monitored our movements, if we go with them, we should stay with them always and we're not allowed to change our mind.

In my understanding,they will just serve the people who have voted them during Election Day, all of our names were already encoded in their files and if we seek help from them, they will just search our name if we are in their master list because if not, we're just a big "sorry", that unfair for me.

The people of the community deserved to be served as a citizen of this place but with this kind of wise(kamaru) politician, what will happen to those who need help in the hospital and the farmers needs assistance, they will wait for another series of the election so that they can avail programs.

Here's one statement ;

"You will be given chances if you surrender, 🤢surrender to them and say, you will change your mind and vote them."This may be too harsh and it's just makes me like gnashing my teeth when I heard it. My friend have heard these words with one of their leader. She felt disappointed but what she did is just stay humble and seek another option and learn not to depend on the offered scholarship.

For me, good governance is serving the people fairly, with or without a vote, and giving the same opportunities to everyone who lives in a certain place. I can't imagine that,how come a politician has the power to do this with the people who lived there and choose by voting and also by buying votes.

Not only that the world situation is getting worst but also with politics where they will do everything that they can so that they can have power over one place.

One time my mother, had to go to the government office in our place to seek help for medical assistance for my niece, and when she gets there, she was being asked if she had already approached our purok leader, and she said, no I don't. And she is being denied, and they said that she just needs to be on the list first.

I'm just afraid that it will become a new normal of politics, not only the health protocols are the new norm but also the politicians have implemented a new normal for their political agenda. Do you think what will happen with the generation in the future? Will they still can find good governance or they will suffer the worst political strategy.

It turns out that some politicians today, have become more greedy with power rather than doing service to the people. They will spend a lot of money to buy votes and even threaten some people just to win.

As we all know that the people are the one who is considered as a government and they are the servant of the people but as what I have observed they want that the people will bend their knees before them and ask for their favor. So sad, about this.

I know that some politicians are not like them also, there were few who really and doing good service for the sake of the betterment of their specific place.

But I'm still hopeful that this people's agenda will end soon and finally change their ways of leading the people.

They must drop their old ways , because as we observed today, life is too short and at the end of the day, we will be condemned with our deeds on earth if we are doing bad things. There's a God of justice who will give sanctions to those doing awful things.

For me, the politician who deserved to serve the people is the one who has a heart for his people, serves with a heart and most of all the one who has feared God.

This is my place politics happenings today, though it was stressing us it was too real and cannot be denied already. Some people say, that we should go with the flow and how did the politics go so that we don't have any problems but in my opinion for someone they can do even worst things just like what they did today.

Politics is just too dirty and full of mystery nowadays, to the point that we don't know who is doing the right thing. It's just very confusing, instead of focusing on their service they just do what they want and neglect their true responsibility.

I just like what " Ninoy Aquino have said, Bayan muna bago sarili".Which means to set aside our selfish desires first than to make ourselves as a first priority rather than serving the people.Though it's so sad, which turns our that everyone is making "kanya-kanya", kanya-kanyang strategy to win and be able to excel in wealth and power.

We should not keep our eyes blinded with this kind of situation that we have, we may not be able to walk outside and make a rally but we can make a change in our way by not copying them and doing the right thing on election day.

This topic is out of my concern with my friend today who is just experienced being neglected because of political issues. Im always reading posts about the latest happenings in politics online and I never thought that I can encounter it here the place where I live.
