Even though pandemic is having a negative effect in our lives because of the changes in our living, socially ,physically, but if we will just realize it, it also has positive effects in our life. It cultivates family relationships, bonding, the value of life, the importance of a good relationship in the family, and health.
One of the most wonderful positive results of a pandemic is people have realized the importance to have a relationship with God, to tell you there are a lot of people who return to worship God whatever religious group they have. And during lockdown people have time to ponder with life and remembering how God is very important in us. We are being isolated physically but it became our biggest appointment with God today.
One of the latest viral videos of a metamorphosis story is the comedian actor here in the Philippines, Mr.Jobert Austria. Who was a former addict with drugs and alcohol, that he had almost committed suicide and have been into depression and devastated life. Even he has a lot of money but he doesn't find peace in his heart. He still defined life as a beautiful opportunity but he became a miserable person.
And when he was in the point of being depressed and down, he was able to talk to God, when he saw his wife having a Bible study online. He realized that he needs God, and then he starts opening his bible and meditate it every day. The isolation in this moment of our life, maybe a God's appointment with you and me, its a privilege to know who he is in our life.
I strongly believe that we cannot change anyone as long as it's not God to move. Mr.Austria has become a living testimony to everyone that it is not impossible to have a metamorphosis in one's life, because God can do all things in us. We might see people who live with no purpose today and have been into different vices with their lives but for as long as there a called new day, there is hope and a new beginning.
Most of the time people judge us the way we live and even gave condemnation if someone committed a mistake to the point of ignoring him. But with love and compassion, we should show them, for they need understanding and love.
Change is the only permanent in this world. And a life that has been changed became an inspiration to others.
It means that we should remain hopeful if we have a family or relative that we pray for so many years to change but still, nothing happened. Don't worry each of us has our own time framed to change.
Changes don't happen in a snap but it's a long way process, and it should not be in a hurry. Change must come from the person itself who needs change, the decision to make, and the step to take for a change. As a friend or relative, our part is to guide and support them when they have decided to step on a transition.
What does it benefit if a person's life is changed?
It has a big effect on a person's life, it will change his views and outlook in life, and he can live meaningfully each day. And also, it will bring closeness to the relationship among family members. It also helps him to gain progress in life, relationships, and whatever career he choose. He will gain the respect and dignity that he lost because of a bad reputation in society. To live with purpose in a new life, and value with his family which he neglects before.
Of course, one thing that will try a person who is willing to embraced change is, some people would mock him or teased him for giving up his old ways, vices, and bad influences. But the more people would do it, the more it will make him a stronger person.
A person changes have a different gateway, some people experience a life and death situation, like almost car accident, worst illnesses like cancer and he surpasses it, it sometimes brings changed to a person. But, there is a unique way of change that I've seen. When a person is having an encounter with God in his life, especially in times of depression, anxiety, devastated, broken relationships, and he draws closer to God. This was the same thing that happened to Mr.Jobert Austria(Comedian-actor). He finds his life today is the best version, and the most joyful moment. Despite people's criticism, he is determined and focused to stay the way he was today.
I did not say here, that it should happen to each of us, but as a the owner of oneself, we know who we are.And there is no one who can demand or command us to change the way we live today.I think it needs reflection and time to ponder of how did our life is going on.Change happens unexpectedly, that you didn't planned or think, it will come the time that you did not anticipate.
Imagine if all the people in the world would embrace changes in their lives, especially when life that is living full of pleasure and self-centered ness, and odd moves.I can say that it's a beautiful world to live and raise kids.
I've always heard my parents before complaining, my brother who is always been a black sheep in the family .She says,"When should this boy gonna change",she is tired of dealing with him everyday, who always came home late.
Parents delight when they see their children who live in a right way, and happy family.But it is a big burden for a family if one of the member is hard to deal with vices. I can relate to that seeing my parents before who came home drunk and always quarreled every night.As a child Im having a thought to myself,"one day I'm gonna leave this home, because I want a peaceful life".And as I grow old,I always think about that,I find a ways to get away from home because of one reason I can't resist to see my mother crying, my father was holding something to punch her.
Gladly, when they met God in their life,I can say,"finally it's a happy home".Thats the time that I feel happy to go home and I won't run away from my family because I see them live in peace and love each other.
Change has a big contribution in the nation and the world, if we can start a change today , why not?
