The durability of a smartphone has always intrigued me. In the past, I was able to make a smartphone last 3 years thanks to the replacement of the battery which was easily interchangeable. Now I struggle to reach two years, mainly due to the shortening of the battery life, which lasts only a couple of hours after few months of intense use. I used my Samsung galaxy S4 for 4.5 years. Yes, the battery was the weakest part. Thankfully it was easily replaceable so I kept replacing it... until I dropped the phone and broke the screen and rare camera glass got cracks. Then I switched to Xioami Pocophone F1 since 2018 and using it till now. I'm strictly following the use manual for longest battery life and it's not disappointing

  Good to know, the screen of my Samsung S series got broken after 2 years, now I try with Realme but even following the instructions to save battery after few months, its life reduced a bit.

    Yeah it's definitely depreciating over time even if you look after it well. Maybe my current one already had a big capacity so I'm not noticing it much.

      This could be one of the reasons, anyway taking care of the battery matters.
