Making extra effort to appreciate and be appreciated is always better than trying to force yourself to someone who doesn't know your worth. There will be times that your works/feelings will be not be appreciated by many but never stop appreciating. What you give today will be returned to you a thousandfold someday.

We dont have to worry if our deeds are not appreciated by everybody. Theres one God that records of all our doings. He was the one who will reward those people who are doing good things.
