Pixiu - Ancient Creature That Bring Wealth And Fortune!
A **Pixiu** (pronounced Pea-Shoe) is a mythical Chines creature that's known to bring wealth, fortune and prosperity to it's owner. The Pixiu is also a ferocious protector from demons and evil spirits. There are some pretty unique stories about the Pixiu, including the one where it went to the bathroom on the floor in heaven..... and had it's butthole sealed.... Every new detail or story I heard about this powerful creature made me more and more curious. When I found out that the Pixiu is also known for being a source of fortune and wealth I became even more intrigued! I started placing statues like these into my home and started wearing one around my wrist. Call it the placebo effect or me just seeing the world as glass half full, but I certainly noticed an uptick in my financial wellbeing!
What Is A Pixiu?
This mythical creature is a combination of 3 other creatures. A dragon (the head), a lion (the body), and a **kylin** (the legs) make up the Pixiu. There are also either one or two antlers on the head, which represent the gender. Two antlers is the female (or *Bìxié*), just one antler is the male (or *Tiānlù* ). Where Does A Pixiu Come From?
The Pixiu has survived over thousands of years of Chinese mythology and lore. Their history has been traced all the way back to the Han dynasty (**206 bc - 220 ad**). Because of the reputation for being ferocious, fearless, and powerful, the image of the Pixiu became closely tied to the ancient Chinese army, and was used on flags and other identification markers. Many of the Emperors gave specific commands or instructions that only royalty or those with prestige and power could possess Pixiu statues. How To Use Your Pixiu
There's really no wrong answer (depending on who you ask....). Pixiu statues inside your home can be made of any material, but typically they are made from wood, jade, or copper. Feng Shui experts recommend not having one facing your bed or near your front door. By having one in your bedroom, the intense energy and power coming from it may disturb your sleep. Having one next to your front door would anger the creature of another who's home resides near the front door.
I keep multiple statues in my home, and it's also wise to keep two near each other (representing both genders). I also wear an **obsidian Pixiu bracelet** with a tiger eye in the center. I don't have to think about it further, because I know with absolute certainty that it will become reality.
This is the part I struggle with the most though unfortunately. There's certainly something to be said for keeping our goals at the forefront of your mind, but when you start to obsess, or get impatient, then it all goes away. That obsession and impatience turn to fear and doubt, which is the OPPOSITE of the wonderful high vibration energy you were experiencing while journaling.
Let it go, and let it come to you. If you truly believe you are going to fulfill your dreams and manifestations than what you're doing now is working! Every step you take brings you closer to making your dream a reality. Trust the universe and know that the things you want are well on their way, and that's why you're so grateful!

When I first started learning about manifestation, all I could think about was money, wealth, and fortune. These are all wonderful things to think about, but is it for the right reasons? I wanted to buy a new sports car, pay off my debt, and purchase my dream home. Of course I did whatever everyone else does.... create a "dream board" of all of the fancy and expensive things I wanted. Guess what? Nothing happened! When I looked at my dream board I just got frustrated that I don't have the nice things that I wanted! Being impatient and demanding for 'stuff' that right now was keeping me further from my manifestation.
I changed my mentality, and began to focus on gratitude and abundance. I realized how truly 'rich' I am already, and how blessed I've been my entire life. Owning more than one pair of shoes is considered extremely wealthy in some countries. Running water, heat, A/C, clothing, a car, and a roof over my head are more than I deserve. I began going out of my way to help others, and sharing what I do have with those who really need it. This doesn't have to come in the form of material possessions or money either. Giving your time, volunteering, and showing love to everyone you come in contact with are all ways of expressing thanks and gratitude.
As I changed my attitude from being unhappy with what I have, and being grateful for everything and everyone around me, more of the things I wanted started showing up in my life. Each of the 5's in the Minor Arcana relate to adversity and loss, but because the suit of Pentacles signify money and material possessions, this is can be an especially difficult card to receive. The look of hopelessness on their faces breaks my heart, and I'm sorry to say that I've personally experienced times in my life similar to their situation. My Last Girlfriend Was Born In The Philippines
We dated for 8 years, and recently broke up this year....(I don't want to talk about it!) She was born in the Philippines, but moved here at an early age. What Type Of Love Does A Platonic Soulmate Have?
When I think of my Platonic Soulmate, all sorts of powerful feelings and emotions come to mind. Good times, bad times, exciting times, scary times, I feel like we experience the same feelings while we're together. I see so many different things when I look at the 2 of swords upright! The 2 swords are obvious and prominent, and they tie in so closely to the blindfolded woman. You're at a crossroads, a literal fork in the road. You have a choice to make....left, or right? Yes, or no? This choice can be a major life decision, or something simple, but you agree with both options and you can't decide.
Do you wear a blindfold only so you don't have to acknowledge this choice or responsibility? You know it's there, because you can use your sense of touch to feel the swords. Not acknowledging the choices, or avoiding them entirely could be why you've covered your eyes. On the flip side.... When shuffling my deck today, I drew the 5 of wands. This is a very unique card, which represents disagreement and competition. I was fascinated writing this article and learning some insight into why I argue or fight! I also found some really cool decks that I linked to in each picture and caption. The 5 of Wands is a card of conflict and varying beliefs, which is common amongst the other "5's" present in the **Minor Arcana**. The suit of wands represent creative energy, spirituality, and intuition, and represents the element of fire. The Wands suit correspond with the suit of 'clubs' in a typical playing card deck. Our desire to succeed, get ahead, think of new ways to do things, and inner drive are all associated with this suit. As you can see in the picture, the 5 of Wands is full of conflict and misunderstanding. 5 men stand near each other holding their 'wands' into the air. Each of the 5 men are wearing a different color outfit, which represents differences in opinion or belief. You'll notice in the card that none of the 5 wands are actually making contact with the others. It looks to me like the men are using the wand as a form of intimidation, but none of them are willing to back down. They don't want to strike one another, but each of them wants to be recognized as the 'alpha' or the 'top dog' so to speak.
I've caught myself many times trying to pick fights or arguments.... just to fight! We've all played the devils advocate at one time, disagreeing for no reason than to verbally spar. We enjoy the rush of flexing our mental muscle, and no one wants to feel like they 'lost' or were outwitted. This is why disagreements can get so heated and intense at times. The men may just be trying to assert dominance, or they just enjoy the rush and intensity that conflict can bring out in one another.

The 5 Of Wands in finances and career can signify a possible financial struggle at the moment. You work hard, but at the end of the month you're looking at your account and wondering; "Where did it all go...?". Take time to revisit your budget and find out where your money is really going. You may realize there are multiple financial obligations you need to fulfill, but want to make a definite decision on just one. There may be conflicting opinions about finances that you're receiving from others, which makes you question what's best. 7 Of Pentacles (Coins) - Upright, Reversed, Love, and Career!
I shuffle my tarot deck until cards fall out. I typically wait for one at a time, or a card that is being especially 'difficult'. Today it's the 7 of Pentacles (we're on a coin train huh?). Each card image is linked to the original deck. You don't have to be 'psychic' to enjoy their beauty and character!
The 7 Of Pentacles is one of my favorite tarot cards for a variety of reasons. The Pentacles, or coins, represent wealth, financial security, success and stability. Who doesn't want more of that in their lives?!??! The suit of coins in tarot is most closely associated with the suit of diamonds in traditional playing cards. Diamonds are a symbol of status and luxury, so it's only fitting. The other reason I enjoy the 7 of Pentacles because the number 7 has such divinity throughout multiple religions and cultures. There are the "Seven Wonders of the World", it's a prime number, it's associated with luck (think about slot machines and jackpots!). According to the book of Genesis in the Old Testament, God took 6 days for creation, but on the 7th he rested. You may be 'resting against your shovel', and taking a longer break then necessary. It can be easy to fall into a rut, or get lazy and complacent. He stares forward at a young family with a small child, standing underneath the archway of a castle. The 10 coins are spread throughout the scene, indicating wealth and abundance to everything it touches.
I believe the old man is the father (and grandfather to the young child) of the couple. His family is now sharing in the fruits of his labor, and the family crest/archway indicate a very high status. Daily Tarot Reading 7/11/21 (It's A Long One!)
It's Sunday, which means it's 'technically' the start of a new week! The start of a new week, month, year, or day is an opportunity for a fresh start. It's a clean slate so to speak, and it starts NOW! If you aren't happy with how last week went, then take a closer look at the what happened that didn't go your way. What caused the outcomes? What actions did you take (or didn't take) to meet your goals? What can you do differently this week?
If you've been following my daily tarot reading then you're already familiar with the format (and THANK YOU). I'll be shuffling my tarot cards for as long as it takes until I choose 3 cards to interpret. I spend almost as much time shuffling as I do writing. There are multiple reasons for this, but most importantly it's because I want to get my head in the right space. If I'm not speaking from the heart, or using my intuition to guide my writing, then these posts mean absolutely nothing.
5 Of Coins Tarot Card (Upright)
The coins or 'pentacles' is one of the 4 suits in tarot decks. Just like how playing cards have hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds, so also do tarot cards with their individual suits. This suit represents fortune, money, status, affluence and material wealth.
The 5 of coins is a slightly more 'negative' card, and relates to adversity and financial hardship. I try to put a positive spin on everything I write, but this card is closely associated with poverty, bad luck, and financial ruin. You may have recently lost a job, or are having difficulty paying bills on time. It can feel like the walls are closing in, and there is no help or relief in sight. Now is the time to swallow your pride, and ask for help. Reach out to those around you for guidance and support while you navigate this rough road in your finances.
This card is one of the 'minor arcana' (each of the suits are), which means the effects are temporary. While in the moment though it certainly doesn't feel that way. Your mindset is focused on everything you don't have, and how little there is to go around. When you think in terms of 'lack', you concentrate on how there's not enough to go around and get even more discouraged.
Take action with your finances, and be proactive. Sit down and make a budget, or look for ways you can climb out of the hole you might find yourself in. Make a gratitude list of all of the things you do have. When you start to focus on all of the blessings you still have, that 'lack' mindset begins to disappear and you'll begin to see a change. Life is like a roller coaster, there are ups and downs, and there is a 'season' for everything. Remember that what you're going through is only temporary, and it will soon pass.
The Hermit Tarot Card (Reversed)
The Hermit Tarot Card shows an older man with a long beard holding a staff in one hand and a lantern in the other. The white beard indicates wisdom, and the lantern providing light can mean clarity, and understanding. The Hermit is a spiritual being, who spends time alone for introspection. He wants a better understanding of himself, and the universe around him so he spends time in solitude contemplating.
When the Hermit is reversed this can indicate that you might be spending too much time alone, and isolating yourself from others. Personal time is extremely valuable, but it can cause problems if you're shutting others out. You could be feeling withdrawn and introspective, stewing over the 'big problems' of life and how they can be solved. You could spend the rest of your life trying to come up with solutions to the worlds problems, but once you receive your 'moment of clarity' it may already be too late.
This card can also indicate that you've be a little more 'shy', or timid in social interactions or out in public. Your head is down and you keep to yourself, thinking about who you really are and what your purpose is. We gain clarity, insight, and wisdom not only by learning from ourselves but learning from others as well. Don't be afraid to get out of your shell (or house) and go ask others for the answers that you seek.
4 Of Cups Tarot Card (Reversed)
Another suit in the Minor Arcana, the cups card has also been referred to as chalices or hearts. Cups represent emotions, feelings, relationships. What goes inside a cup.....? water, liquid, something that is free flowing and fills the space of whatever it is poured into. The cups suit is associated with the element water. Water has the ability to bring life and growth, or to destroy and decay.\
When the 4 Of Cups Tarot Card is reversed, it can imply that you are ready to pull yourself out of the mud and start again. You've weathered the storm and you have a desire to get back out there and start achieving whatever you set out to do. You are beginning to realize that even though everything doesn't always work out in your favor, there is always a way forward. You can appreciate the little things despite setbacks that may occur, and they motivate you to continue on.
Leave the past behind, and focus on the present. This moment right now is all we have! Make the best use of your time, and let go of the hurt or sadness you have been reflecting on that have kept you from being your best self. Enthusiasm and excitement for your current ventures will spur you on and help you continue to move forward.

Daily Tarot Reading 7/10/21
It's Saturday! We made it to the weekend, and I'm looking forward to getting plenty of work done but also 'recharging' my batteries so to speak. Lets find out what our 'cards' have to say about the coming weekend!
Please note....any interpretation I give is just based on my thoughts, feelings, and intuition. It doesn't make it 'right' or 'wrong', it just IS. I draw 3 cards from my tarot deck every day, and then write about their meaning and the message I believe is trying to be conveyed. I also shuffle my cards for quite a long time until the 3 cards I want come to me, whether in the form of dropping on the ground or being difficult to shuffle.
The Magician Tarot Card Upright
I mentioned that my cards are a little 'older', and certainly not as sexy or visually appealing as other tarot decks out there, but you'll notice with the magician tarot card he is standing in front of all 4 suits on a work bench or altar. He holds a wand in one hand, while touching a coin (or pentacle) with the other. A sword and cup both rest on the table as well.
What is a 'magician'? I'm not referring to card tricks or pulling a rabbit out of a hat, but using your thoughts and energy to manifest or bring a desired outcome into the physical world. You and I do this every single day when we focus on a predetermined goal, work to see it fulfilled, believe it will be achieved, and then manifest it into our lives.
What is something you've given all of your attention, energy and focus to that you've seen come to life? We read about it every day on this platform. Other writers speak about reaching a certain number of BCH, and eventually reaching their goals. Others speak about finding a partner or true love, and what happens? The person they were looking for 'magically' appears into their life.
You are smarter and more powerful then you think. You have the capability of turning lead into gold so to speak. We are all the creators of our own reality, and all of the tools we need are right at our fingertips, just like in this card. Whatever it is that you're focusing on right now, give it 100% and don't quit. You literally have limitless potential, and are only limited by the thoughts you hold in your own mind.

The King Of Wands Tarot Card Upright
The wands or 'batons' suit in tarot represents entrepreneurship, advancement, risk taking, drive, passion, and ambition. The king of wands is a powerful and charismatic leader who is able to stir up enthusiasm and loyalty in others. He is filled with a tremendous amount of energy, and once he sets a goal is relentless in seeing it through to the end. Confidence is key, and he has no doubt that whatever endeavors he sets for himself will ABSOLUTELY manifest in his life.
This has a lot of meaning by being following the magician card earlier. You have the drive, energy, passion, desire, and commitment to make your dreams a reality. Your passion and enthusiasm can inspire others to help you with your goals and aspirations (sponsorships, writing, etc.). Others can look toward you for strength or guidance as you continue on your path. To onlookers it may seem like the things you do are effortless or come easily to you, but in reality it's your willpower and desire that are making these good things happen.
If there's something you've been dragging your feet on, or a new idea you've been considering, NOW is the time to follow through. Take charge and walk boldly in whatever this new venture is. There is no possible way you can fail, so why wait any longer? You set your own course, and you dictate your fate.
The Hanged Man Tarot Card Upright
What an interesting card! As you can see the man is suspended upside down between two trees, held by a rope. He looks comfortable as his hair hangs down to the ground. Being upside down gives us a different perspective upon the world we see. Is there something that you're taking a 'backwards' or 'upside down' approach to in life? You haven't fully committed to the path laid out before you, and so you just hang back and watch.
Albert Einstein described insanity as: "Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results". Your habits and actions are what produce your current results. Are you happy with where you are? When was the last time you asked yourself: "Is what I'm doing REALLY working?", and been completely honest in your answer? Take a minute to evaluate where it is you want to be, how you're going to get there, and what actions or plans you need to take to arrive.
Our perspective creates our reality. If you had to live the rest of your life upside down, the world would obviously look different.....take a new perspective on things that you wouldn't normally. See the world as 'glass half full' instead of 'glass half empty'. Expect positive results in your endeavors, be curious about trying new things and seeing how they will work in your life.
If your unhappy with where you're at, then make a change OR reframe the situation so you can look at it in a new way. This card is a perfect example of how everyone views the world differently. The things I see in this card can be COMPLETELY different from someone else, and that's OK. Take into consideration new views or perspectives, and hold onto what resonates....leave the rest!

Daily Tarot Reading 7/9/21
Another day, another reading! As explained yesterday, I will shuffle my tarot deck and draw 3 cards. I will do my best to interpret the cards the way I see them, and each card represents the past, present and future.

Today, each card I drew from my deck is in the 'reversed' position. Is that some type of coincidence, or does all 3 cards being backwards have additional meaning?
Queen Of Swords Reversed (Past)
The queen can be seen as a strong independent woman, sophisticated and mature. She has exceptionally high standards, not only for herself but for the world around her. The queen wants to see everyone reach their most idealized form, and will put in effort to assist that cause.
In the reversed position, it can be an indication of hiding your feelings or 'clamming up'. You refuse to acknowledge the things that you truly desire, and believe that your needs aren't as important as those of others. Instead of expressing your needs, you keep them repressed and consider it inconsiderate or rude to burden others with these needs or wants.
Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, and put more trust into others. Speak up for yourself, and make your thoughts and feelings known. It isn't just frustrating for you to bottle everything up, it's frustrating for the people closest to you as well.
The Moon Reversed (Present)
I am not joking when I said that I draw this card ALLLLLLLLL the time. It seems to follow me everywhere I go. Keep in mind, I spend probably 15-20 minutes just 'shuffling' my deck before drawing any cards. I wait until I feel right about a card as it's being shuffled in the deck, or sometimes one 'falls out' while shuffling. These are the cards I choose, and the moon just keeps showing up!

The moon tarot card reversed can be viewed a few different ways. I see it as the night being darkest, just before the dawn. You may have had trouble getting through the night, wandering aimlessly, seeing shadows or illusions of things that aren't really there. You've gotten through the worst of it, and your vision will soon be unclouded as the sun begins to appear.
The card also features a picture of a dog and wolf howling at the moon. You can have two different natures, light or dark, animalistic and instinctual or proper and logical. You will be going through some sort of change, from whichever nature you're currently in. It's been a trying time for you feeling like you are unable to be yourself or maybe having trouble identifying who you actually are.
Take your own actions into consideration, and start thinking objectively about if the decisions, people, or things in your life are actually helping you. Don't delude yourself into thinking that something negative is helping you, when in all actuality it is limiting you from achieving your goals.
The World Reversed (Future)
It's been said that the world tarot card in the reversed position is one of two cards that don't really have a meaning.
We've all heard that life is about the journey, not so much the destination. The world reversed can mean that you're taking the path of least resistance. Trying to take shortcuts, or getting through this journey quickly and unprepared isn't serving you as well as you think it does.
You could also view the world card reversed as a means to and end. You've been working hard on what it is you're focusing on in life right now, but you keep getting sidetracked or pulled in different directions. You've been procrastinating, despite being fully aware of the actions and decisions you need to make in order to bring your dreams to fruition.
You're just 3 feet from gold so to speak, so don't let off the gas now. Continue moving forward, and believe in yourself. The world is just about to be your 'oyster' so to speak, but you have to persevere and find the necessary energy and will power to cross the finish line.
