I’d like you to think of your mind like a fertile garden. Just waiting for seeds to be planted, and for a bountiful crop to be harvested.
In this fertile garden, the soil is rich with nutrients and whatever you plant in it, will grow. There’s plenty of rain and sun and the garden is already prepared, all you have to do is plant the seeds. You can plant anything you desire. There are no restrictions. You can plant roses or you can plant poison ivy. You can plant corn or you can plant nightshade. What you put in, as a seed, will eventually grow into something much bigger. Your brain, and the thoughts you hold inside are like this fertile garden. Your mind is a fertile place where the thoughts you plant, will grow and create the life you live.
The Seeds You Plant Grow In Your Fertile Garden
Your thoughts, your convictions, and your beliefs are what create and manifest your reality. These thoughts and beliefs are the seeds you plant in your mind, and they will mature and grow into your reality. Your life, good or bad, is nothing more than a reflection of the thoughts you’ve planted in your mind and given power to. These thoughts became beliefs. Beliefs became habits. Habits become results.
This is certainly where I’ve found myself at times in life. I was where I was, because deep down, it’s where I really wanted to be. The choices that I’ve made up to this point have created the person and life I live today. This principle is one of the oldest spiritual laws in existence. It’s also one of the best known. In the book of Proverbs, chapter 23: 7 it states: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he,“.
It can also be summarized like this: “You become what you think about”.
Some variation of this phrase can be found in Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, and it’s principle can be found in basically every religion. What I’ve learned and noticed from different beliefs systems is that this principle is a core principle. It’s as much of a universal law as gravity. There are numerous quotes from philosophers, religious leaders, wise-men, and spiritual leaders: If we believe, we succeed.
We Manifest What We Believe
First, your thoughts and beliefs are connected to the universe on a quantum level. I’m talking vibrations again, bear with me! Our thoughts produce a frequency, or vibration. The vibration we’re in is like a huge magnet for everything that is at the same frequency. We manifest what we really truly believe, not what we think we believe. You manifest what’s in your heart. Your deep rooted and subconscious level thinking and desires, that are constantly pulling things toward you. For example, if you believe you deserve a life of unhappiness, pain, and don’t feel worthy, then the seeds you planted will have to be harvested.
Lots of people believe their thoughts are positive but their inner voice is always negative and self-destructive. we are constantly contradicting and doubting ourselves, feeling worried, scared, and anxious. That little voice down inside is winning out, and that’s why it’s so important to take care of your fertile garden. This is probably why the Law of Attraction fails for so many people – they’re trying to grow trees of prosperity and success while planting seeds of doubt and lack, and feelings of unworthiness.
Life Doesn’t Always Give You What You Intended.
Life Gives You What You Ask.
This is where many people have trouble. They want wealth, joy and happiness, but their deep seated thoughts and beliefs go totally against that. They plant in the fertile garden of their mind, seeds of fear, lack, doubt, scarcity, and the universe manifests that into their life. “There’s never enough”, “I don’t deserve to be happy”, “No one will ever want to be with me”, etc. These are all things I’ve focused on in the past, and my life reflected that completely. I could barely scrape two pennies together, let alone pay the rent….or feed myself lol! I didn’t think I was worth more, I didn’t ask for more, so I never got more.
Beliefs Shape Our Reality
Your thoughts lead to beliefs. Your beliefs lead to actions, actions lead to outcomes, and outcomes lead to the circumstance we find ourselves in.
The beliefs you plant in the fertile garden of your mind will determine how you act, on a level that’s so subtle that you can’t even perceive it. Who you are, is the result of the thoughts you’ve allowed into your mind and harden into beliefs. Most of our actions and behaviors we do subconsciously, and are secretly sabotaging ourselves unknowingly. It’s on the same level as breathing…..You only notice it until you consciously think about it. You realize your behavior and where it comes from only if you take time to analyze it.
Everything you are comes from the thoughts you’ve once planted in your mind and then grew into beliefs. When you plant seeds of kindness, abundance, and happiness, your behavior will reflect positively and will create happiness for yourself and for others. When you plant thoughts of joy and love, your behavior will begin to align with behavior typical of that. Having the courage to talk to your crush, asking for that raise at work confidently, and giving reasons why, opening your own business and putting everything you’ve got into it. These are all examples of behaviors that are the result of confident and positive thinking.
You Are The Farmer Of Your Fertile Garden
It might feel like your actions or behavior are all over the place, because every decision might be overcome with indecision. That was my biggest problem. I made decisions sporadically, or indecisively, and I was always so scattered. Deep down inside I didn’t believe I was capable of making ‘right decisions’, so I tried to not make any decisions at all. When I started replacing the seeds in my fertile garden with seeds of belief, self worth, and confidence, I started seeing results that I would never have dreamed possible.
Think of it like the captain of an airplane. An airplane is huge, carries hundreds of passengers and weighs hundreds of pounds. Yet, you will find just one or two pilots in the cockpit, controlling this huge machine. You have limitless potential, and are capable of anything you set your mind to. That’s more power than 10,000,000 planes, and you are in complete control of it!
Your new thoughts will lead to new behavior, and begin to shape and create the results and the world you want. The universe can manifest the opportunities you require at this moment, but you must take action in order to take advantage. If luck knocks at your door, you still need to get up to open the door!
Your Fertile Garden Still Needs Work!
When we begin planting the seeds of abundance, prosperity and success in the fertile garden of our mind, we start manifesting, and attracting new opportunities. The universe will align the people, places and circumstances for this to happen. There’s something important to remember….These people, places and circumstances aren’t gonna kick in your front door and turn Netflix off. You need to act confidently, and nurture your fertile garden. Take action! Where attention goes, energy flows.
Maybe you want to find the love of your life. Are you going to manifest your ideal partner by sleeping past noon every day? Probably not. You still need to get off the couch, put in the effort, and put yourself in a position to meet that special someone!
The universe is like a tree that offers you all of the fruits you need, in infinite quantity, but you still gotta grab em off the tree!!! I know that seems silly, but we will find any and every reason to talk ourselves out of something that we know we really want or need. That all starts with your thoughts, which create your beliefs.
Make A Decision!
Make a decision now! Eliminate the sources of negativity that are still filling your mind with limiting and self deprecating news. I cut friends out of my life who would constantly complain and cry about how awful life is. I was much more careful to choose what I was reading and watching every day, and paid attention to how they made me feel. Find ways to eliminate the negative thoughts, and start filling your mind with positive ones. Feed the fertile garden of your mind with thoughts that bear the fruit you desire. Make a commitment to think only thoughts of love, joy, prosperity, abundance, and wealth.
This may seem difficult at first. Planting new seeds in your fertile garden will take effort and diligence on your part. You’ve become so used to planting seeds of poison in your mind, it might take some time to pull up the weeds. But once you do, you’ll notice something incredible happen. You’ll begin to see how the perfect opportunities and circumstances start showing up in your life. You’ll find yourself in the right places, at the right time, to get exactly what you want!
Very nice content and the idea was surprisingly amazing. Thank you for this line, "Everything you are comes from the thoughts you’ve once planted in your mind and then grew into beliefs. " This is somewhat an eye opener for me.
