The Engineering History

Engineering is one of the oldest profession dated back to the 1390 when scientists and specialist related it to mathematics in the design of military weapon e.g a mechanical tool called **contraption(Catapult)** used in war, this obsolete has been used for years to survive the old and present day military The word engineering was gotten from the word ***engineer*** which means one who operates on an engine.

Engineering is simply the application of science, mathematical formulas analysis, understanding nature and empirical elaborate evidence to the innovation , design ,analysis, construction, adequate maintainance of machine equipment, processing, management and systems. Engineering has existed since the beginning of time, even God used engineering techniques to create the world. The Greek, Persian and romans carried Civil engineering (Building of notable infrastructure) to the next level. Civil engineering emerged as a discipline in the 18th century when the first and foremost professional society of engineering was founded, civil engineers of the 18th and 19th century built structures, designed water supplies system, designed roads and linked high way network system.
