Let's talk a little Football ⚽️ Ever since the 30 man list for the next Balon d'or came out, so many people has been outspoken with their displeasure "Kimmich and Muller should be there" "Why is Mendy not on the list?" "Tell me what Pedri achieved in the last 1 year" blah blah blah No matter who is on the list we will still have complaint here and there. Having to pick 30 outstanding players in the last 12months is not something easy. What we need to tackle is "What is the criteria for choosing these players?". For years now it's been an issue of contentment between football fans. Sometimes we think it's based on individual performance and some other time we think it's based on trophies won. Sometimes we even feel it's based on the performance at the biggest competition in a calendar year. "World cup supersede UCL and other competitions " we'd say. But when things change suddenly we say it's based on individual performance or impact on a team. Maybe sticking with a best player in each position. A world 11 will be the end of this lifelong debate.
