The News of the Nigerian Government launching her digital currency (e-naira) has been met with backlash from all corners. The question we all are asking is, how is it different from the paper note and mobile transactions we do?. The value of e-naira is said to be exactly the same amount as the paper note. The app has no mining icon or special feature. What's the use case of this enaira. Another thing is , so far it's a page created in 2015 that has been giving updates about the enaira. The Government can't come out to tell us if the Twitter account is fake or real. Guess why, how do they explain to us how they got to know about the account? How did they verify it? They can't answer since they ban the use of twitter a long time ago. We now glorify ourselves as the first African country to embrace the use of Digital currency. What's there to celebrate?
