"We cross River Water to Teach Children" The volunteer teachers of Bukidnon and Davao serve the community learning centers in the hinterlands. Every weekdays they traverse strong currents of river water just to reach the school they are teaching with. Often times they have bruises and cuts due to fallen wood debris or sharp stone cuts. But no matter what they will continue serving the less fortunate children in the hinterlands. For five day (Tuesday to Saturday) the volunteer teacher teach the chindren with basic education to elevate their literacy and numeracy knowledge and skill sets. The children in the community is really happy to be able to learn from them. The parents as well are Reay happy to see their children acquiring good learning from the community learning center. One parent said to the volunteer teacher. "Thank you Sir and Mam for continuously teaching our children, through your help and sacrifices our children will be able to have a better future at the same time they will live a better life when I am no longer here in this world. Thank you for doing you best to teach our children even if we can't pay your sacrifices and time yet you never failed to fulfill your oath and pledge to the children. Thank you so much Sir and Mam." With teary eyes the volunteer teachers simply express they are happy to give opportunity to the children to reach their dreams. And they believe that every children has the right to education. And this is the only gift they can offer to the children. And we will never get tired no matter how many times we cross those perilous rivers just to give happiness and education to the kids.
