Post Title: Life Boat Purpose: To spotlight the numerous dreams of the Indigenous learners of the remote communities of Gingoog in a form of a paper boat. The children in the photo are children who have undergone traumatic stress from the war conflict between guerilla unit and the Arm force of the Philippines. To reduce the traumatic experience, the children must undergo a psychosocial intervention such as play therapy, interactive storytelling, and art and craft therapy. During the art session the children are requested to fold the paper a d turn it all our as a boat as shown in the demonstration. The paper boat will be written downwith the children dreams. Then proceed to the nearby stream at the school area and slowly place down their life boat and whisper their wishes on it. Highlights: Children are happy and joyful about the art session.
