Received a warning letter from the HR department with a fine for not wearing a tie. Three other colleagues also got it. I removed it coz I was going outside the office and when I got back. I forgot for a while and start working on my laptop. HR officer visited the office for some official work and saw me without a tie and now I received the warning letter. 🤨

Unfortunate incident. Could you try explaining to them or are they soooooo strict. I hope the fine was not too much. I'm curious - why do they insist on a tie?
it dress code in our office and I don't care about fine but warning matters.
