If you are working in an IT company as an IT specialist they would give you the respect you deserve coz they would know your value. But if you are working as an IT specialist other than IT companies they would not consider you of any value. Like in my case, I work as an IT specialist in a real Estate company. They give respect to those departments who can bring revenue like Marketing, Operations, transfer and Land department. The strongest department in my office is marketing. They are even stronger than the management department coz they are directly reporting to the chairman of the company. Sometimes, I think to turn off all the servers and disconnect the internet connectivity so that they can know the worth of IT but then I get scared of getting fired. 😂😂
