Watched the Sweet girl movie right now. Don't get deceived by the name, it is a full-action movie. But that's not why I am posting about here. I heard a dialogue "The candidate with the most money wins, that's how it works". The dialogue was said by the senator who was standing for the election. I thought money only works in poor countries' elections. I had no idea it works in developed countries too. Or it was just a movie and is not related to real life?
