The Dyatlov Pass Incident In February 1959, nine Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains under mysterious circumstances. The Ural Polytechnical Institute's experienced trekking crew, led by Igor Dyatlov, had set up camp on the eastern slopes of Kholat Syakhl. They were forced to cut their way out of their tent and abandon the campsite during the night, despite being underdressed for the severe snowfall and subzero conditions. The deaths were triggered by a "compelling natural force," according to the report. Animal assaults, hypothermia, avalanche, katabatic winds, infrasound-induced fear, military participation, or some combination of these have all been proposed as possible explanations for the unexplained deaths. --- This crime documentary is literally made my headache. The avalanche thing is really no sense. I don't believe that they also died from hypothermia. If they did, how come that they had seen a lot of injuries, skin cuts, and one of the teams missing a tongue and eyes?
