  India qualified for the 1950 Worldcup, but the Indian PM Nehru did not permit the team to participate in the tournament due to his personal interest in cricket! India stood fourth in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics and won gold in Asian Games in 1962. This is what is the content of my article.
