Can Cryptocurrencies Survive Without Fiat Currencies?
Are you surprised to see this question? We (you, I, and others) like cryptocurrency because it has a feature for peer-to-peer payments and is fully/partially decentralized. I often ask myself many questions about cryptocurrencies and decentralization because I am an active learner and developer of technology solutions in the diverse areas of information security. If you are surprised to see my title and think it is against the concept of cryptocurrencies, you are accepting whatever the technology community is promoting. Then you are probably not asking questions! Where do the resources for cryptocurrencies come from? Have you ever wondered where resources come from for developing cryptocurrency projects worldwide? The initial funding and the running cost of every cryptocurrency project, including Bitcoin, comes from real-world traditional wealth assets and fiat-based economic systems. If you say no to fiat currency, you are probably initiating the destruction of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Ask questions and try finding the closest answers. We love the technological developments and progress in the modern world. We also must test, check, and investigate the technological system backgrounds of the currency developments around technology-driven life. We should never accept the inventors and technology giants without asking relevant questions. Continue to ask questions about every new technology and use case. Our questions are the starting points to correct, improve, and develop better technology applications. ------------ About me I am a researcher and contribute to the overlapping areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). I am an active user and promoter of GNU/Linux, Free and Open Source Software. I develop cybersecurity and information security solutions, specifically graphical authentication security. ***Cheers!*** ***Unity at ReadCash (********Debesh Choudhury**********)***** https://twitter.com/debeshchoudhury/ *Text Copyright © 2023 Debesh Choudhury — All Rights Reserved* ***Join me at*** ***YouTube******,*** ***Twitch******,*** ***CashRain******,*** *****Odysee********,*** *****LinkedIn********,*** *****Twitter********,*** ***Publish0x******,*** ***ReadCash******, and*** *****Facebook**********.***** https://www.youtube.com/@learningtimes https://www.twitch.tv/debeshchoudhury https://cashrain.com/LearningTimes https://odysee.com/$/invite/@debesh.choudhury:d https://www.linkedin.com/in/debeshchoudhury/ https://twitter.com/debeshchoudhury https://www.publish0x.com/@Debesh-Choudhury https://read.cash/@Unity https://www.facebook.com/debesh.choudhury/ *Earn passive income by sharing unused Internet bandwidth on* *Honeygain* *and* *Peer2Profit**.* https://r.honeygain.me/ANIKI3BDC5 https://t.me/peer2profit_app_bot?start=163639948161897979ca01a ***Lead Image:*** *A GIF from* *Tenor**.* https://tenor.com/en-GB/view/bitcoin-ethereum-crypto-cryptocurrency-bullish-gif-21345121 *All other images are either drawn/created/screenshots by myself or credited to the respective artists/sources.* ***Disclaimer****: All texts are mine and original. It is so good to have a "Good" comment :)
That's a question that I've been pondering for quite a while. I've read some articles that cryptocurrencies replacing fiat... Will that happen? I don't know... Maybe in the future... At the moment though, how do we gauge the value of cryptocurrency? We compare it to fiat! As a payment system, probably more and more people will use cyrptocurrency as intended... but will it survive without fiat? Possibly... but the question is, how do we gauge its value?
Cryptocurrency is fiat currency encrypted and put in a decentralized distributed ledger, such as blockchain. That is why cryptocurrency depends on fiat currency, but fiat doesn't on cryptocurrency.
I guess... that sums it up...
