Wishing a 'Happy Birthday' helps cybercriminals with our sensitive personal data. **Is your date of birth public or private?** Is your date of birth public or private on social media and other spaces of the Internet? Do you write your date of birth everywhere on the Internet? Do you become happy by seeing others wish you 'Happy Birthday'? On the other hand, we should keep our date of birth private on social media spaces. It will help stop the algorithm from informing your connections and others about your date of birth. Please keep your date of birth private on LinkedIn and other spaces of social media platforms. **Bringing it altogether** Protect sensitive personal information. Don't spread your and your family members' date of birth on social media. Keep it professional and refrain from exposing private personal information about yourself, your family, or others (such as wishing someone a happy 25th birthday, which gives a fraudster that person’s birthdate).
