Nurture a 'School of NOW' Future? Really? FUTURE has been a trending word for many years, with terms like Futurist, Futurism, and numerous variations. 'Future' is also appealing to the academic and research arena. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_k7O7TGxa8 Can we (you, I, and others) predict the future in a real sense of the world? Palmists and astrologers offer predictions as a service (PaS) and gladly predict the future for humans, sometimes for pets, and business organizations like weather forecasts. The technology world has also included the word 'Future' in its business, product, and organizational vocabulary. Every big and small technology company/startup speaks in a 'future-friendly' language. The word 'Future' has become a master key (solution) for every lock (problem). Academic institutions, being the creators of the future technology workforce, aptly embrace the trending word 'Future' into their academic administration. What should we do? This is an inconvenient question. The answers are predictable yet full of uncertainty. On a personal front, I recommend a 'Do it Now' policy. Artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, quantum computing, and many other appealing subjects have remained highly trending subjects for many years. What is trending in the present is also a driving force for working towards the future. This is a 'situationship' type of relationship that ambitious individuals have with an uncertain future. We may progressively term it an appreciation of future projects. Most people would call it a prediction of the future. But can we add predictions as a service (PaS) in every space? The aim should be to take a cautious and realistic approach in pursuing practical research in the main trending subjects, such as artificial Intelligence, robotics, automation, ultra-high definition 3D imaging, AR, VR, supercomputing, and quantum computing. The list of trending topics may extend to more areas. Academicians and teaching staff members must be trained appropriately to accommodate theory and practice in a balanced curriculum. The learning modules must be imparted by adopting a holistic three-dimensional educational system structure and by connecting academics, research, and an entrepreneurial framework.    Bringing it altogether FUTURE has been a trending keyword for many years, with terms like Futurist, Futurism, and numerous variations.
