Do you watch documentary films on animals?

I remember watching the film "Born Free" when I was a kid. Those were wonderful experiences going to a cinema house and watching movies with the elders. I watched "Born Free" with my elder sisters. I may watch the film again.

Now, we can watch the animal kingdom on TV channels at any time. Those programs attract me more than thriller movies. We can't forget the exceptionally well-researched and captured National Geographic documentary film on penguins, "March of the Penguins."

There are many animal photographers who share images and video clips from their captured works on social media. And, many people re-share these worth viewing clips on different platforms.

Today, I will share a tiny vignette of animal life inside a zoo that I found on Twitter. I re-shared the video on LinkedIn and NoiseCash. Now I will share it with the ReadCash family.

Elephants in a zoo rescued a baby elephant from drowning.

The amazing video clip is from the Seoul zoo. A baby elephant fell into a pool. The water level was deeper than the height of the baby elephant. The central story is about how two adult elephants saved the calf.

  • Scene 01

A baby elephant fell into the water of a small pool.

  • Scene 02

An adult elephant got panicked and was trying to get the baby out of the water. Another elderly elephant came running to offer help.

  • Scene 03

The two adult elephants couldn't help the baby to get out of the water. Then they ran to the shallower side of the pool and got inside the pool.

  • Scene 04

The baby elephant already moved towards the deeper side of the pool and was trying hard to keep the trunk above the water level so that it can breathe. The two adult elephants came fast near the baby and started pushing it towards the shallower side of the pool. Finally, the adult elephants successfully got out of the pool along with the baby elephant.

Conclusion

  • Most animals love their community.

  • Animals are very caring about their babies even inside the zoo.

  • An example shows how two adult elephants rescued a baby elephant who accidentally fell into the water inside a small pool inside the Seoul zoo.

Yes, they do. They have their instinct in taking care of their babies. But, sadly one of my rabbits has the opposite trait. She is very reluctant in nursing her bunnies which leads to the fatal death of the poor little ones. I tried my best to save the bunnies by manually giving them milk but sad to say, they were not able to make it.

Your rabbit's case is interesting! The rabbit must have got a "humanistic" intelligence to ignore babies, which is not uncommon in modern-day human mothers!

Thanks for sharing your viewpoints.

Instinctively, indeed all animals will really love their babies. They will look after their offspring until their babies can live independently.

Animals are more "humane" than humans in showering compassion.

The video definitely shows the attachment and unity of animals. If it was a human, peopleb instead of grabbing the victim out of water would rather go for a photography session. Taking photos and posting in social media.

Yes, that is what they did (here). We don't see any zoo staff come for help!

Even before the existence of social media, humans were like this only.

Mothers love in any farm either you are animal or your human, it is constant in all.

Yes, parental affection and care are eternal to all animals, including humans.

Just see that pure love and natural instinct being at play and yet you would see humans maltreating and acting unbothered. They have killed their conscience in their quest for money.

Humans also killed their animal instinct of love and responsibility.

Sadly, that's so true.

Animals have their instincts and they follow and listen to them... we see more maternal feelings than in many people.

True. If humans could retain some of the animal instincts of compassion!

Most animals are compassionate like humans, they react the same way humans do when they lost a dear one. The clips you uploaded said alot about the animal kingdom. I've seen where fowl(local fowls) go about chasing a hawk when it picks their baby. If they have wings to fly to the Hawk's distance

I always wanted to have the responsible mind of an animal parent. Thanks for mentioning a story of a fowl and hawk.
