Butterflies are so much beautiful, flying insects and they have got large scaly wings. Almost like all other insects, they have got six jointed legs, three body parts, a pair of antennae, also got compound eyes, and an exoskeleton. The three body parts are the 1. Head, 2. Thorax (the chest) and 3. Abdomen (the tail end). Butterflies actually have got four wings, not two as it seems like. Butterfly wings helps them against other predators. Butterflies often have brightly coloured wings with unique patterns made up of tiny scales. Butterflies have a liquid diet. Most butterflies feed on nectar from flowers. Butterflies have taste receptors on their feet. A sad thing is butterflies can only live for a few weeks. Some of the butterfly species can migrate from the cold. The most common butterfly in the US is the Cabbage White. One of the largest butterflies in this world is the Giant Swallowtail Butterfly. And the last thing I wanted to show you.
