A common cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract, nose and throat. This is usually harmless. Symptoms include a cold, sore throat and cough and sometimes watery eyes, sneezing and a stuffy nose. Most adults get colds 2 to 4 times a year. In young people, especially preschoolers, they get colds 6 to 10 times in 1 year. Tips to soothe your mood: 1. Drink plenty of water and fluids - It is good to drink water, juice and tea. Because it helps replace water lost in the body during a cold or fever. Avoid drinking coffee because it causes dehydration. Smoking can make symptoms worse. 2. Suck chicken soup - Sucking soup helps people who are sick. According to experts it relieves your mood in two ways: (1) First, it is anti-inflammatory and reduces the production of colds and phlegm in your respiratory tract; (2) Second, it temporarily accelerates the movement of the cold to the nose, to help relieve a stuffy nose and reduce the spread of the virus that sticks around the nose. 3. Rest - If necessary, stay home first and do not go to work first if you have a fever, severe cough, or dizziness. Rest is important to make recovery easier. 4. Make the room comfortable - Make the room cozy or not hot to feel, you can buy aircon if needed. Clean the aircon regularly to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold. 5. Soothe the throat - Gargle with lukewarm water mixed with salt in the morning. Drink warm lemon mixed with honey, as it helps relieve sore throat as well as cough. 6. Use nasal drops (nasal spray)-Saline nasal spray is effective, safe to use and does not irritate. It can also be used on children, to relieve a stuffy nose. 7.
