The reason PoW is superior to PoS is that it is unfakeable + open to new, high-performing entrants. E.g. ETH influencers identify each other by PoW (in the community), not by PoS, otherwise they'd immediately form a plutocracy, mostly filled with bankers. All cryptos do this.
