Since the eCash fork, BCH is on a massive growth trend. Similarly sized Litecoin is not, therefore refuting the "rising tide of Bitcoin lifts all boats" philosophy. If the community can stay united and not degenerate into more forks and squabbles, it will start absolutely dominating over the next 24 months.

Another fork would be a disaster - the project looks the strongest it’s been in a long time.

  In the long run, a fork would be beneficial, as were the previous ones. Each split purges out people who don't get the mission. However I agree, I think we've had more than enough of that for the time being and the project looks very, very strong. I think the community is starting to sense it too, and as momentum builds so will everyone's unification as it is obvious that it is working.
