I tried to reply to a post and my reply stayed in the box after I hit the Post button. I hit the Post button again and it told me it was a duplicate post and not to spam. The reply still doesn't show up, probably because it was in reply to an uncommented re-noise of a since-deleted post. Interesting to me, as I was wondering yesterday whether replies disappear when the posts/comments above them are deleted (unlike reddit, where you can see the replies under deleted comments). I guess this means they probably do....
