Start Well so you can End Well
1st January 2022.
The beginning of January marks the start of a new year and the promise of a new beginning. As you go about your new year resolutions, have fun but also consider making giving a part of your resolution as well.
Giving helps us to be intentional about our lives and where we are going and it also, helps us to live our lives a little more intentionally.
The new year is a time to begin to attain good things. To establish good habits and get rid of bad ones, dreams are born and then they die with time-wasting.
Begin well, so you can end well - Whatever you begin the new year with is what you will end it with. Praise God for a new start.
Whatever you begin the New Year with is what you will end it with. In Psalm 90:12, God told us to "so begin to show our love as we should." This is how we were to close the year, and so we did.
Let us, therefore, go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city which is to come. Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.
It's exciting to see what the new year would bring but it is also a time when we reflect on the past and ponder where it has left us. It's a time when we have to decide whether to end well or not. We are responsible for ourselves and our decisions. When things go wrong, we need to pause and ask if we didn't begin well, how can we end well? If we know the answer and stem from our past experiences then we should rejoice in the fact that we can end well. Praise God for a new start.
Life isn't about the number of breaths you take, nor the number of times your heart beats. It is the moments that take your breath away and make your heart skip that count. It is not the years in your life but the life in your years that matter.
Wondering what is the secret to living well? Well, it is living well by starting well and ending well. Life is a journey and if you start with a good beginning, you end with a good end. So start well, so you can end well.
Give me a new beginning Oh God and a new start to my life, a determination to live right by Your word - Psalm 101:2 (NIV)
It is one thing to read and study God's word, it is another thing to apply it in your life! It all starts with a good beginning. We should thank God for a new start this 2022. All of us need a new beginning.
The year 2022 is a new beginning. A fresh start. It’s a chance to reset, rebrand, and reboot. It’s a chance to make resolutions that matter.
"Begin well, so you can end well." - African Proverb
It's that time of year again! We're welcoming a new year, sharing resolutions and making goals! But we also get to reflect on the past year and recognize that this is a new beginning.
Today, I want to take the time to encourage us all to remember our heritage and start the new year off well. Let this first month be a testament to who we are and why we do what we do. We can accomplish anything we set our minds to, but sometimes it helps to have a little encouragement and guidance as we begin.
Happy New Year!!!
Happy New You!!!
"Whatever you begin the new year with is what you will end it with."
I ran across that pearl of wisdom in my favourite book, The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. In it, the author talks about how to start each new year in a way that will yield a good harvest and ultimately give you financial freedom from want.
If you want your life to be blessed, start it off on the right foot with a good beginning and watch how God will bless you for it throughout the year.
The more you begin your days with a good attitude, the better they will end. Be positive. Be happy. Be not bitter. Be grateful.
The Bible says to be careful how you build your life because your future depends on it. This new year, build well, so you can end well. How will you do that? Start by building on the solid foundation of God’s word, being grateful in all things, forgiving others, and not allowing bitterness to take root in your heart.
When we think about the new year ahead, it’s easy to focus on the things that didn’t go as planned and to set unrealistic goals to get better. But as God’s Word tells us, “All things work together for the good” (Romans 8:28).
Happy New Year Friends!!!
Cheers to a new beginning!!!
That's interesting the best of starts will determine the best of finish
