Ethereum was launched in 2015 and had no competition. Another year or two and ETH will be number 1 in the CMC. SmartBCH was launched in 2021 and has a lot of competition. But since SmartBCH is built on EVM, there are already a lot of Ethereum smart contracts that can be cloned and used immediately on SmartBCH, so SmartBCH can develop faster than Ethereum in the early stages. We will see how the future unfolds, but SmartBCH has a great chance to catch up with the main DeFi networks. Maybe BCH will even become number 1 on CMC, but that's not the most important thing.
