The number of Bitcoin Cash transactions has decreased since the introduction of SmartBCH and has now stabilised at a level of 50k per day. However, the number of active addresses has not changed in a year. It remains at the level of about 80k all the time. It's not growing, unfortunately, but it's not falling either. This means that Bitcoin Cash users are very loyal and are not influenced by either bears or bull markets. But why have the transaction numbers gone down? One possible answer is, users are using SmartBCH more. I notice it with me. I now do Bitcoin Cash transactions on the main chain much less frequently and SmartBCH transactions much more frequently. According to fountainhead.cash, SmartBCH is now doing about 1.25 transactions per second. That's about 100k daily. So that's already twice as much as in the main chain.

Does this also affect the current BCH price?
The current BCH price is influenced by BTC speculators (whales). It has nothing to do with the real value of Bitcoin Cash. The BTC whales are manipulating the entire crypto market. Here you can read what the real value of a coin is. https://read.cash/@Telesfor/what-is-a-true-value-of-a-coin-1c11bfb9
