Do not let offenses affect you, do not allow them to do so. Stay humble, but do not give in to injustice. Never bow your head when you know you are right, never argue with anyone, but learn to reason and look for a point that can be useful in your defense. I would like to tell you an anecdote about Mahatma Gandhi when he was studying law at the University of London. One day his professor Peters was having lunch in the university dining hall and Gandhi came and sat next to him. "A pig and a bird don't sit together, don't you realize Gandhi," the professor told him haughtily. "You take it easy professor, I'm flying away," Gandhi replied to his teacher. Peters understood that Gandhi had called him "Pig" so full of rage on the day of the exam he decided to take revenge, but the student answered all the questions brilliantly. Seeing this Peters gives him the following interpretation: Gandhi if you are walking down the street and you find two bags, one with money and the other with wisdom, which one do you take? Without hesitation Gandhi replies "the one with money professor, of course". With a smile on his face, believing he had won, the professor replied, "I would have taken the one with wisdom, don't you think? "Everyone takes what they don't have, professor," the student replies. Already hysterical, Peters takes the test paper from Gandhi and writes "IDIOT" on it and hands it back to him. The student now takes the paper and sits down for a few minutes, after a while he returns to the teacher and says: "Professor Peters you have signed the sheet for me but you have not given me the grade". Teaching: If you allow an offense to hurt you..... it will, but if you don't allow it, the offense will go back to where it came from. #RandomThoughts
